Andriy Voronin and Krisztian Nemeth start up front for Liverpool in their first pre-season friendly against St Gallen this evening - a match you can watch live only on Liverpoolfc.tv from 7pm BST.
Glen Johnson will make his debut later in the game, with Benitez expected to change his side completely at half-time.

The starting XI is: Cavalieri, San Jose, Degen, Insua, Carragher, Spearing, Gerrard, El Zhar, Babel, Voronin, Nemeth.

Those expected to feature in the second half are: Martin, Darby, Skrtel, Johnson, Kelly, Plessis, Pacheco, Benayoun, Lucas, Ngog, Gulacsi, Ayala, Kuyt

From Skysports

Rafa Benitez has revealed Liverpool have rejected a number of offers for Reds ace Fernando Torres.

The likes of Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and Real Madrid have all been linked with a big-money move for Torres, while team-mates Xabi Alonso and Javier Mascherano have also been in demand this summer.

Benitez is not surprised his players are in demand, but he always knew Torres was happy to stay at Anfield.

"We have had some very big offers for some of our key players this summer - and that includes Fernando Torres," said Benitez.

"Clubs wanted Fernando and we were contacted by agents working for those clubs

"But we always knew that when a bid came in we would say 'no'.

"The main thing was that Torres wanted to stay here. People knew the player wanted to stay, but it did not stop clubs trying.

"We wanted to send out a message that Liverpool are a strong team and that we want to improve. You don't improve by selling your best players."

Oh yes it's definately in the "town" but not sure of what route it takes.  You'd prob be ok by 4 from memory.  Can't remember how many usually attend but it's not that bad, I'm just concerned about traffic along that long straight road in.

Probably too late but you should head to Rossnowlagh the back way ie when in Ballyshannon head for Donegal Town, then near Ballintra turn left. Follow this road then branch off right and it brings you to the far side of Rossnowlagh. Either that are go original way and turn down by the Smugglers and head across beach but you won't get much further than the SandHouse

ardmhachaabu you seem to know your stuff. Don't know what happened yesterday but my google tool bar has disappeared. I've clicked on view, then tool bars, then google toolbar. A screen then pops up asking me, do I want to disable it but it isn't there to disable. Any help would be great.

On another note why when I try to 'safely remove' my USB it sometimes tells me I can't because of the volume? Thing is it only happens sometimes

Will owen receive any type of signing on fee? Haven't seen it reported but in a lot of free transfers the player does get a 'wee' incentive to join cause no money is exchanged between clubs

It is funny to see the reaction of some Liverpool fans and shows how shallow they really are :D  He was a great player for Liverpool, one of the best strikers ever to play there and now he is a Cnut!!  :D :D

As noted, is it any different from Heinze?

Anywhoooo, he never had the love of the Kop, was never one of thier heroes, just confirmed now thta he is a ****.

A direct transfer from club to club is very different from this as both of you well know.
Well what about Ince then? Don't tell me you wished him all the best when he signed for Liverpool

Such horsesh1t, out of respect to the United fans Tevez will probably sign for City.  ::)

Yeah but its not as if they are direct rivals to utd. Liverpool and Utd is the biggest rivalry in england and players generally don't ever play for the 2 teams. I wouldn't have give a shit if owen had went to the bluenoses

So Sturridge signs...
... that's two signings in two days. This reminds me of Roman's arrival. I'd say tomorrow Ribery, Sunday Pato, Monday is Villa, Dean Windass on Tues and pre season on Wednesday. Sorted.

What's the craic with Sturridge? never seen him play but surely if he was any good he would have played a bit more for citee
