Amari Cooper was traded to the Cowboys from the Raiders yesterday. The Cowboys were struggling at wide receiver and Cooper cost them their first round draft pick.

Gruden has taken a conference contender back to the depths of rebuild mode in record quick time. Really weird moves.

That's probably not a bad move for the raiders, loads of raider fans here are happy and the 2 cowboys fans at work are not. Raiders season is done, they ain't going turn it around now whether they have Cooper or not. This way they can tank even more and have 3 first round picks to start the rebuilding...whether they will draft well, remains to be seen.

The big worry is what to do with Carr...

The Raiders were far removed from conference contender before Gruden came back.

They were 12-4 in the 2016-17 season, buckaroo. And even then losing was mainly to do with both Carr and his backup being injured for the play-offs.

Try harder next time.

Cooper has been terrible for a while, plagued with dropped balls.  Probably suits both teams. Cowboys get someone that *could* be very good and Raiders can go full rebuild mode. Carr could be next

Patrick Peterson probably on his way out of the Cardinals as well.

What's his contract situation like?
There are quite a few 'contenders' that are really struggling in the secondary this season, so you would think that would play to the Cardinals advantage in terms of compensation they can recoup.

2 years left.  I think they are looking for two first rounders. If they get that, they'll be happy.

Yes, they were, and were then 6-10 having given Carr the then biggest contract in the league and Cooper, one game aside, absolutely fell off a cliff.

6-10 and sliding is a conference contender in your book? Better luck next time, "buckaroo"

f**king twat.

Two 1s would be a great deal, he is 28 so it's a "win now" (Chiefs?) team that will take the plunge you would think

He's been relatively injury free i think, so at 28 he could still have quite a few good years. Cornerback is one of those positions where players can have relatively long careers. That said, it will inevitably be a team in win now mode as you say as they will be the ones to overpay. I agree that the Chiefs are the most likely, followed by the Eagles and may be the Vikings?
