This is where Movies and TV struggle with American Football. A script like that in soccer would be unusual or whatever, last second goal to win the game blah blah. In American Football, scores (field goals or TDs) with no time left are pretty commonplace in tight games, due to the way the coaches use the clock. So whenever I see a dramatic finish like that I go 'meh', still not as spectacular as what Baltimore did to Cleveland last Monday night. How do you compete with that for an amazing finish?

Well - you only have to go back a few weeks to the Georgia Tech / FSU game  ;D

and the Michigan / Michigan State game a week before that  ;D

Exactly. That's what I mean. How can TV come up with anything more exciting than that sort of thing?

Don't know if anyone listens to any of the NFL podcasts but The Rosenthal and Jeselnik Vanity project is hilarious.

What's opinions on Steph Curry this year?

Starting following the Warriors 2 years ago partly due to the wives cousin and partly that they are the closet NBA team. I haven't much knowledge or experience of basketball but this guy blows my mind with some of the stuff he does. Yesterday's 3rd quarter against the Hornets was just WOW!!

Never thought I would get so into NBA but love every minute of their games. Think they may finally come undone against Toronto or Indianna.

Crazy finish. Didn't think it was a face mask call but crazy.
Only need to watch the 1st quarter and last 6sec for the story of this game.

He, and they, are obscene. Realistically, bar catastrophic injury, everyone else is playing for second.

This is what I hate about American football. By the rule, it was a penalty, but it was, at worst, the most glancing, faintest of touches. No intent, no harm done whatsoever and it's cost Detroit the game.

Seanie will be absolutely fuming.

I've got back into watching NFL over the past 3 or 4 years as the young lad took an interest.

Two things that have caught my eye that I hadn't appreciated when I first watched NFL 20 years ago. Firstly is the hits are so much harder than in rugby. And in rugby the hits are hard! But the general rule looks like - if a hit/tackle is illegal in rugby, then its the proper way to do it in NFL!

Secondly is that the penalties for technical fouls are huge. Often game changing, over the (seemingly) tiniest little thing. Although most of them needless too, so the players penalised have usually only themselves to blame.
