I wonder will he sign with the Tullamore Phoenix? I like the uniforms, Offaly GAA meets Gridiron.

Jaysis, no wonder ye couldn't beat Antrim with all that gear on ye.

Also having all at once your players committing to attack after belting it down the field from your own half back line is a poor tactic.

Didn't work at Under-10's level anyway from what I remember.
It won't be the next manager but the one after that Meath will become competitive again - MO'D 2016

Capt Pat

It seems the 49ers are not interested after all. I wonder what they are up to. Smith is not signed yet. Are they leaning toward Kaeppernik or what?

We thought we were playing Derrytresk.  But as for the tactics, you should see the big full forward waiting for the delivery. Them lads are just running in for the break.

Clark will turn up wherever Manning will be. Freeney is on the trading block as well. A complete overhaul at the Colts.

Latest word is that the Redskins have cut a deal with the Rams to move up to #2 for RG3.  Will swap #1s this year and Redskins will give up two future #1s and some other picks.

So, what now for my Browns.  Don't think they'll pursue Flynn.  Maybe they'll get some targets for Colt McCoy or pick up an ace CB to reduce other teams' scoring.

Reckon the Browns will pick Justin Blackmon at WR with their first pick and maybe his college QB Brandon Weeden with their 2nd pick later in the first round. They could get RG3 if they really wanted him though. They have more picks to trade than the Redskins do.

Prob a great deal for both teams though. Redskins give up a pile of picks but get a probable franchise QB finally while the Rams get a pile of picks just for moving 4 places down the draft.

Rams get 3 1st round draft picks and a 2nd round pick for RG3.

Capt Pat

This could be a great move for the Redskins. If RG3 works out and they pick up a good receiver in free agency they could have a very strong offense next year.

The Broncos suddenly jumped to the top of the Peyton Manning queue over the weekend, when he paid a visit and met with Elway and the gang.

Subsequently he also met with the Cardinals.

Apparently he refused to meet with the Seahawks and the Chiefs.

He may meet with one more team today according to reports, with Dolphins, 49ers, Titans supposed to be the ones in the hunt.

Well it's March, which can mean only one thing. Well, two if you count Paddy's Day. OK, 3 if you are a Cheltenham man/woman.  Yep, it's March Madness, and the new bigger big dance starts tonight with the 'First Four' preliminary rounds as 4 teams will fight to make it through to the last 64.  Two games tonight, and two tomorrow, with the real first round (even though they call it the second round now) starting on Thursday.

Today sees Western Kentucky play Mississippi Valley State in a bid to be the #16 seed in The South Region, and then The Iona Gaels play Brigham Young to be the #14 seed in the West Region.  Tomorrow evening will have Vermont and Lamar facing off to be #16 in the Midwest Region and then South Florida will play Cal to be the #12 seed in the East.

The Pac 12 has had a disastrous season. Colorado made it in because they won the Pac-12 Tournament, but their regular season champion Washington didn't make it, and unless Cal beat Southern Florida, the Pac 12 will only have 1 team in the last 64 which is unheard of. This is the conference of UCLA, Stanford, Arizona and other big Basketball programmes.

Has anyone done a bracket?

First of the free agency moves are coming through

Marques Colston resigned with the Saints
Pierre Garcon and Josh Morgan gone to Redskins
Brandon Marshall gone to the Bears for two 3rd round picks
Mario Williams in talks with the Bills
Vincent Jackson in talks with the Buccaneers

Redskins and Cowboys both lose cap space for this season -$36 million and $10 million respectively
