And if the answer is yes-do you support open borders?
All concerns? Not in the slightest. But anyone who regards it as a priority or anything close to one, or who spends more time obsessing about it than about they do about health, education, taxation etc...Well you have to question their motivation.
After all, other than racism or stupidity, why would anyone be angry enough to take to the streets, or to base their voting decisions in protest about immigration ahead of in protest about the state of the health service, or housing crisis, or tax evasion by the super wealthy etc etc etc?
Screaming far right doesn't help.
Hospitals have been a shambles long before a refugee was about the place. If you blame hospital issues on refugees it's as simple as this, you are a racist.
And we were told that there was no money to fix hospitals..........and yet we have hundreds of millions (if not billions) to house, feed and clothe refugees
There's towns and villages that don't have a single Guard-and yet we have hundreds of millions (if not billions) to house, feed and clothe refugees
38000 people have been waiting for more than 18 months for a scan yet we have hundreds of millions (if not billions) to house, feed and clothe refugees
10,000 disabled kids have been waiting for more than a year to get an appt to see a specialist and yet we somehow have hundreds of millions (if not billions) to house, feed and clothe refugees
People are rightly outraged and it has shag all to do with racism

Quote from: clonian on Today at 04:41:34 PMQuote from: Aristo 60 on Today at 03:46:02 PMIts not just about moving seat. They don't open the majority of the facilities with the result that the queues for toilets and kiosks got totally overcrowded. Last year at Down v Cavan it was a dangerous cattle crush on the hogan stand concourse with everyone trying to get to the 1 or 2 bathrooms. Little they care. GAA - where we all belong.
Was there not a problem with the toilets at the semi final v Laois? I remember there was a few problems that day. Meath and Antrim headed out as Down and Laois came in caused a jam.
Quote from: Itchy on Today at 08:39:57 PMAbsolutely. But look at the optics. Money being spent on refugees = money not spent on hospitals. Its an easy distraction. Nevermind that health services (North and South) are filled with immigrants working and would be in worse shape if not for them.Quote from: Armagh18 on Today at 08:36:35 PMQuote from: Truthsayer on Today at 07:11:15 PMSeeing millions being spent on housing refugees etc is bound to (rightly or wrongly) piss people off when they can see the state of things like the roads, hospitals, schools etc. low hanging fruit for a protest vote.Quote from: Snapchap on Today at 06:55:58 PMHear hear... is a very useful distraction used by FG and Tories from those other more pressing issuesQuote from: whitey on Today at 06:22:08 PMSo if I understand you correctly, in your view, ALL concerns regarding immigration are driven by either racism or stupidity (or both)?
