Who's Paddy Heaney?

Him:

I love the way journalists deem themselves important enough that we need a photo of them beside their column.

Cantona at £1.2M must be the best piece of business here.  Was the catalyst for much of Uniteds success in the early to mid nineties and to be honest they haven't looked back since.  He never really cut it in Europe for Utd but he was a steal from Leeds at the time and hard to believe they actually sold him for that price considering the influence he had on their '92 league winning side.

His influence wouldnt have been helping due to the fact he was "allegedley" banging Lee Chapmans missus

So lads....did you receive your new N95's?

What are your thoughts on the phone, does it meet expectations?

I got it on Friday, its a serious piece of kit. Still getting to grips with it, if you use the GPS,WI FI etc much the battery is gone but its not as if we live in Siberia so electricity shouldnt be a problem to charge it. The only issue i have is with the GPS, i got a fix on my location within a minute or two but when i open it again now it is always where i got the original fix (my house), i asked a fella in o2 shop today and he said the GPS can be temperamental and can take about 5 minutes to get your location.

You can say what you want about the yanks but they know how to dish out the sentences, that fella was doing 500 years and 11 life sentences for "multiple home invasions with torture tactics". No oul bullshit 15 year sentences for murder over there.

O Neill the IN is as bad as any of them, how many times have you seen a headline in huge bold, the story then makes a vague reference to the headline before going off on a tangent about something else.I agree with Rosnarun about the reporters getting pally with managers thus losing the impartiality they should be striving for. There are plenty of journalists and tv reporters that are in the "back pockets" of managers and certain players so all you ever get is a fawning non story. I actually have stopped,in the main, reading the IN for this reason and get any analysis or Gaa news on this board.

Well done Leg End, thanks for breaking that news for us.

Minder, I don't buy into that.  Rafa stsed at the outset that he had a five year plan to win the Premiership and build a solid foundation.  I think he has gone some way to doing that and recent results do not reflect that.  This is due to instability at the club over a number of things and obviously they are having a baring on the players.

If at the end of his 5th year they had not succeeded then give him his Pink slip.  Until then I would prefer to see him stay, with the owners full backing.

Fair enough but if we were seeing an improvement i would be happy enough and were gradually building, Torres has been fantastic and my biggest fear is losing him if when Benitez goes, but there are too many players that are not good enough, regardless of the owners and managers rift.

Lads i have Wi-Fi on my new phone, and am a bit ignorant about it all. When i scan for available WLAN networks and when they are not encrypted i take it i can "hop on" so to speak and its free? I always pick up a "BT Openzone" one when i am out and about but Mr Bt wants me to pay him.........All help welcome.

Lads lets not let the owners meddling cloud the issue, Rafa has not been able to put together a team that has been able to challenge for the premiership in 4 seasons now. He has bought questionably to put it generously.

Apparentley Klinsmann was signed up the other day was because of the interest from Liverpool.

I don't mind Andy so much. Anyone but Henman ;)

Opposite for me,at least when Henman was beaten he took it with good grace, the problem with Henman was his supporters. Murray usually develops a sore wrist/ankle/leg/arm whenever he is about to be beaten.

Delighted to see Newcastle get a hammering..if ever a club deserves to get relegated it has to be them.

Why? I always kind of liked Newcastle. They've great fans & are normally good to watch! - They've had horrible owners though - Freddie Shepard used to make me sick!

Neve rliked Shearer either...

You have got to be joking, before Keegan came in 1992 their average home attendance was around 15,000. "Where were you when you were s*it" as the chant goes.........

They were in the 2nd division, Britain was in the midst of recession & St James was a sh!te hole before it's redevelopment!! Also the city is on par (population wise) of Belfast...

Man City were in the 3rd tier of English Football a few years back and were still getting 35,000. Wasnt it strange for Keegans first game there were 30,000 and the attendances went steadily up as they became more successful........

Surgically enhanced crestfallen face. Cowboys picked a bad time of the year to start playing garbage.
