Good stuff..still would like a competition for those clubs that exit championship in first 2 rounds to get a few extra games. But beggars cant be choosers.

Just wondering how this will tie in with the proposed league restructure next year or is that being shelved?

GetOverTheBar

Like everyone else, well done on getting this out, clear and concise.

There will be teams in Tyrone knowing with the short time to play off Championships that will give them a real boost thinking they can do the unthinkable this year. The Championship could be one of the best in recent memory.

They have the league status to play for which will be ultra competitive considering that 2 teams out of 8 go into relegation play offs....

the ccc have responded well in a short tuen around..already you can see the mood being more positive.. what will be the guidelines or attending games etc?

I think smaller clubs will have to decide between 16s and minors where there are large overlaps of players between both teams.. games coming every 2-3 days across the 2 age groups

The drawing of clubs into groups randomly, is just that too random!  You could end up with two imbalanced groups
Would it not have been reasonable to use last years league placings  and go 1 3 5 7 9 11 13 15  places in one group and the evens in another .

It's a new season and everybody probably deserves to be treated equally given there wasn't advance warning. Even if one group is stronger and you finish in bottom two you get a play off against a bottom two team from other group. If your challenging for league title then you need to beat top teams either way.

Where did you get that?

Minor league round 2 on Thursday 09th August is clashing with the u16s on Saturday 09th August! :o

LeoMc

I think from looking at the dates, if you are involved in more than1 team or a number of your team mates are, you can say goodbye to training, no time for it with the games scheduled.
Viva la revolucion!

southtyronegael

Great to have a date and plan for club football. Could be an exciting 7 game league. Should cut out alot of the end of season messing with teams not fielding or throwing points. Roll on July 31st!

RedKinght

So much for player burn out at youth level.

If you are u16 and playing minor (which most club will have) then you have league matches on 1st, 3rd, 6th, 8th, 12th, 13th, 16th, 20th, 24th and 27th August. Thats 10 games in 26 days before you start into playoffs and championship.

It's great to see football back but I think this is too much. Run the minor and u14 in August and September then run the u16 competitions.
