Scullion was Superb last night, no airs and graces and coming from nothing.  An Inspiration to all young ones out there.  And to get an All Star during those times too, when GAA players in the North were hassled and bullied by the Brits for their Culture was exceptional too.

GAA Discussion / Grimley Family Fund Raiser
November 21, 2023, 12:18:18 AM
I'm sure you are all aware of the unbelievable tragedy borne upon the Grimley family over the past few weeks.
The sudden death of brother Patrick and Sister in Law Ciera RIP, of Armagh County Player Niall, a gentleman on and off the pitch, along with their friend Ciara McElvana RIP (wife of Armagh All Ireland Winner Kevin).  Out of the devastating tragedy 3 young children have been left without both Parents, in the most cruel, unimaginable way possible and only a few weeks from Christmas.  A Go Fund Me Grimley Family Page has been set up in order to give these 3 children, some help in the days, weeks and months ahead.  Whilst these are tough times for us all, if of you can find it in your heart to donate even a small amount to help those 3 wee children Tadgh, Mya and Cadhla in their time of greatest need. :'(
May we also remember the Grimley and McElvanna family circles and the Madden Rapparees Club in the days and weeks ahead, and let them know, we in the GAA Community are thinking of them. Many Thanks Armagh Girl

Season Tickets on line from about 10 mins ago.  Cusack 305 again, good seats.  Croke Park will have set aside all Season Ticket seats so i would imagine that these will not all be taken so will probably be up for resale again by Wednesday Evening as you have until 1pm that day to choose your tickets or loose them.  So for any of you who did not get tickets today keep a watch around Wednesday or so.  Roll on Saturday Armagh Abu!

Don't know much about the allegations made here, but worked with a colleague numerous years ago who was battered, bitten and burnt by her husband, some which resulted in hospital attendances which he insisted on going with her (so that she did not disclose the real reason for injuries)  but did not have the courage to leave because of the children, shame and the threats he made.  She hit the drink and  also had breakdown, with the result that he left her and took the children.  She was not well at the time and due to her drinking was not able to fight her case, so it is not a simple as person being great father, or as someone on here said "she nuts" - perhaps the actions of her husband made her the nutter she became.  He also met a new girl which didn't last long after he battered her!  On a side note we were up visiting friends in South Derry a few weeks ago and RG's name came up, and when i saw thread tonight i thought something else had came out about him, that was common knowledge up around there, and is much worse than his disgusting spitting on his hands  :)
Anyway, just hope that this distraction does not take away from the game on Sunday .....that we are all glued to the pitch and not what is happening on the sidelines.......Armagh by 2

In Reply to Balladmaker re Season Tickets - Yes Tickets seem to be unreserved in GA Stand, so 1st come 1st served.  Need to be there early for a decent seat and at least be covered.  Armagh should beat Down with a few points to spare, but really depends which Armagh Team turn up....

General discussion / Re: Parking at the RDS
April 21, 2023, 11:19:58 PM
You could park at Connolly Station Car Park and then get the Dart out to the stadium, it is much handier than trying to get parked anywhere near the RDS.  Only 10 Euro for full day parking at Station and always plenty of spaces available.

Was able to access for Season Tickets, but it only gives you the choice for outside seating....Section CU.from memory the last time we were in Breffni this was also the case for all Season Ticket holders.  The covered Stand is not so big, therefore not enough covered seats for Season Tickets.  Just have to hope it doesn't rain!

This is disgusting, it looks like he was thrown down stairs and there are a lot of Doormen/Staff there to escort 1 small young fella out.....a lot more than 1 culpable.  Someone asking why young fella who is drunk questions Big Bouncers ?  Possibly because even if you are just messing about having a laugh in Night Clubs these Doormen have to be seen to be big bullies - even if you have done something and are questioning it, throwing someone downstairs and headbutting them is no way to treat anyone.   Witnessed it myself on many's an occasion in well known Banbridge nightclub where they would only pick on wee fellas and take them into corner, well away from Camera's to beat them up and throw them outside. But thankfully now, someone will always have pictures of all actions available for everyone to see their Bullying actions!

It unbelievable but true.  Niece is 6th former in grammar school in Armagh area and a few out of her class had to leave recently as they were completely out of it at all times, they have been on the Coke from about 14/15.  All come from the country where i live myself and you could get a bag of Coke quicker than a pint of milk.  It is rife.  But when the local drug dealers (whom are widely known) are let run every shop, bar, chip shop and are untouchable is it any wonder.  Feel sorry for the young ones growing up now.... too much temptation and distractions ....... tough times for them!   :(

GAA Discussion / Re: Armagh v Galway AIQF

Well at this stage this thread has been exhausted, and the absolutely appalling statements being made on this Forum and on other media outlets are a disgrace.  A 22 year old boy makes a mistake and people are almost calling for him to be hanged!  A relative of TK works with me, and there is no better a young lad helping keep younger children out of trouble in his area, working hard training and from really good decent family.  He is devastated as are his family and friends along with his club and i sincerely hope that he gets past this and gets the support he needs......it is up to the GAA to decide on this NOT Trial by social media! He done wrong and knows he done wrong ......we all make mistakes ......and it is great for all the keyboard warriors, Policitians, Sports Analysts who weren't even at the match to make all the comments of the day, 1 in particular from a well known barrister who can't wait to represent people who a do lot more wrong than this and if it came to making money would defend this boy in a flash!!  As an Armagh Supporter who supports them in the depths of Winter to the great day we all had on Sunday.....what a magnificent display from both Teams, and special credit to Rian, what a player!.  I sincerely hope a conclusion is brought to this quickly so we can all move on.  (The Handbags incident which led to this happened in front of us, and everyone could see that Comer was the instigator, closely followed by Morgan.....those 2 should have been sent off for extra time, but Good Luck to Galway in the next match as we enjoyed the craic with the Corofin crew next to us at the match!)  Hopefully Rian gets his All Star !

Well done to Armagh today.....great game and fantastic atmosphere!   Can't believe the amount of giving out on here tonight about the Booing from Armagh fans.......there is booing at all matches.  We were in the stand and there were a few boos at the Ref and the antics of Murphy....which were both well deserved.  Worse than any booing was the antics of Bonnar and co following the Referee across the pitch at the end of the 1st half then the Donegal Doctor going over to the Referee, giving off too .....before Armagh came out for 2nd half.  Anyway like Rian said We will turn Croker into a sea of Orange and White..

Great game for Armagh, the sound from the crowd all around the Grounds was immense. Hard Luck to Tyrone, but it laughable the ones on here complaining, they were diving all over the show and getting very easy frees in 1st half, at 1 stage Hampsey was on the back of one of our boys......Armagh were unlucky not to have been further ahead.  After the Injury to Mackin (which i hope he is OK) and long delay, Tyrone got a few points but thankfully Armagh kept going, so hopefully they keep this kind of play up for the next game.  Armagh Abu!
