Historically Chelsea can't compare to quite a few English clubs ffs.

Considering Chelsea are over 100 years old, how do you figure that?

In comparing them to Everton, Villa, Tottenham and Arsenal I think it's fair assessment.

Unless you consider them fielding the first foreign XI as history then yea maybe.

So... Chelsea have got a history. Except if you compare them to clubs that were formed before them, then they have no history. Fair enough.  ::)

Well every fcking club has 'history' of sorts but as I said historically they can't compare to other 'lesser' teams of today including the aforementioned teams.

Exactly everyone has 'history' of sorts. It's not something that you can compare though is it? I can't say Chelsea's history is greater or less than Stokes, or Evertons or Man United. It's just different.

You can't compare a clubs history with another club ?  :D Riiiiight, funny how fans of many  clubs chant otherwise to Chelsea fans on a regular basis.

Explain to me then how you compare it?

How many times have Chelsea won the league before they were bankrolled by the Russian ? Now compare that to other said clubs.

How many times have they won the FA Cup ? Now compare to said clubs.

That's not what history is about. What you are referring to is success.

History is something completely different. It's about the good, the bad and the ugly. Read a waaaayyy back in the Chelsea thread where this arguement arise before.

Anyhow gotta go... moer history to shape tomorrow win or lose.

History in football terms is defined by success in my books, I don't count hooliganism as history.  ;D

Enjoy tomorrow.
