Not much reward for Meath beating Laois.

Got lucky with the draw. It's ridiculous that, to this day, Leinster and ulster teams have it so much harder to get to a semi or final in their provincial championships. The likes of Mayo or Galway generally win one, and they're in a final.

We have a great chance of making it to the semi-finals this year, avoid Dublin after that and we could find ourselves in a Leinster final... Great incentive for our lads.

Playing Louth away even though we the draw had them at home!
LAOIS ABÚ

Meath and Kildare are also at home. The only first named team at home is Offaly.

Laois advance to Semi final while the Dubs were trounced by Meath. This opens up the possibility of an extended run for this year's team.

Was surprised to hear the Meath result. Wasn't alot in it when we played them. When is the semi draw or is there one?

They have a great opportunity of a Leinster Final appearance now. Reading reports of the Louth game would suggest that they were playing second best when they managed to win the game. Hopefully that will build a bit of confidence and they can use it.

Minor Semi-Finals

A bit strange that two first rounds of the local minor championship were played last night with the leinster minor championship seven days later.  I hear Darren Rooney is not a happy man as a number of his playing panel had to play.
