Are there too many teams in division 1? Some amount of stuffing's taking place.

Sham competition, no relegation

Do you want a team to suffer relegation whilst they have not had access to their county players in the league. The county players played one league game at the end of July. The purpose of the round robin is to give teams who have county players three games with those players prior to the actual real knockout championship. Relegation from the senior championship is via the championship and not some league where you can't have access to all your players. Don't forget U20 county players didn't play in the first 4/5 league games either.

The insistent media coverage alongside constant government messages to scare the complete shite out of everyone to the point we were cleaning down the groceries coming into the house to find out it was a load of bollix. The amount of people after 12 months who couldn't see what was in front of their nose because they couldn't think for themselves. a valuable lesson in there for me. Stopped buying by newspapers two years ago thank god.

the sarcasm is dripping off MR2. I hope your not as arrogant on the filed as a ref as you come across here.

Anyway I main point with refs are how they can contribute to escalating to the tension that is growing in game by their inability to smell trouble in a and get on top of it to prevent escalation. Thankfully most do have that skill.

It's not sarcasm at all, play the ball and let the ref's do the best they can. Why does it become a ref thing anyway?

By getting on top of it please explain? Example I gave there was no hassle until last 5 minutes, free for all bookings handed out, next kick out two lads wanted to box, another free for all more bookings followed by 2 straight reds...

Players need to take responsibility for their actions, you're claiming that the ref see's everything

getting on top of it means giving yellows, being assertive, verbally letting players know the next time anyone steps cross the line red cards will be shown. Showing one if necessary to send the message. When a ref does the opposite and ignores the intensity of the tackles are happening in front of him you know it is going to escalate. I agree players have to take responsibility, but when you get a a few dirty tackles and its ignored I can tell you your aggression levels go up and is not matched by a level of common sense. And i also agree sometimes with the best will in the world some players don't listen and take nmatters into their own hands regardless of the advise given

As a Derry man at the game I was really surprised at Mc Shane being taken of. He had drawn frees and was one of the few forwards who was showing anything from a Tyrone perspective. Was happy he was taken off and I felt it weakened your team.

Hopefully your right. Bottom line in that Derry have to back it up. They're capable of beating Monaghan, but the mark of any team with ambitions is putting big games back to back. This is where Derry have not delivered from 2000.

Would Tyrone be safer losing to fermanagh, getting in a few hard weeks of training and giving it a go through qualifiers? Ulster going to be a minefield and would hate to lose to Derry!

How does that feel Trap ? ;D ;D ;)

Wifey was gigglin away at ep2 deffo the best so far. Will it go down as one if the top twenty comedies ever? No

Is it enjoyable all the same with plenty of laughs with a nice throwback to an era plenty of us remember, good tunes, few good local celebs like mcaleer and tiernan etc, while being levels above Give my Head Peace and Mrs Browns Boys? yes 😊

You are starting from a low bar there. Two shows I cannot abide. Give my Head Peace is at least 20 if not 30 years past its sell-by date. Utter utter shite. And Mrs Browns Boys is about as funny as a kick to the stones.

Derry Girls like most other shows has its moments and while it is not comedy gold or won't be remembered as a classic is still a decent effort.

you must be some craic to go with for a night

Derry have won 1 game in the Ulster championship in the last decade, from 2012. Level with Antrim.
