Agree - Tyrone won their first NFL in Mickey's first year in charge, 2002, which was proceeded by winning Sam the next year...

I just saw this - unbelievable.  If you don't agree with it, don't write a letter.  Simple.

I was at the Saffron Business Forum event this morning - Paul McErlean asked Denis O'Brien for some of his Beacon Hospital proceeds for Casement.  He didn't say no  ;D

The Corporation Tax case was made before Brexit, and it did make economic sense back then.  Many of my colleagues were involved in the investigative groundwork, and certainly the community of chartered accountants (of which I'm a member) was majority in favour of tax powers devolving here.  Not sure how much things will have changed by now.

Quote from: Last Man on January 19, 2024, 03:44:20 PMI decide to stick with a Bialetti Mocha pot from Tk-Max for 20quid. Lovely smell in the house in the morning. good beans required though, Belfast Coffee roasters hard to beat.
They sadly don't do decaff, but I had a bag of their Christmas blend (any different to any other time of the year??) and it was nice.

Try New Kid Coffee - friends of mine started it, based down in Letterkenny but they will deliver to NI for free if you order over €30 or so.  Really good.

I heard about a new baby in my wider family network - if that's you, then I never realised you were on here too, just knew of one of your older brothers.

Quote from: Mourne Red on January 18, 2024, 03:32:10 PMProbably frowned upon especially these days but we would have had to stay and hold our wee girls hand to help her fall asleep but when the other half was in hospital I done the "Cry it Out" method. Life saver wouldn't be the word.. Meant I had 1/2 hours in the evening to clean the house, do the washing, meal prep etc.. Also helped her sleep through the night which other half was glad off when she got out of hospital.

I used a sleep consultant (just one session) and she more or less gave me permission to do a version of "cry it out" - worked like a treat too, after two nights.  Has mainly slept through ever since.  About to transition him to a bed though - that'll be interesting...

First three months are tough.  Just ride it out.

And as someone said, tell your partner/OH to try to keep going with the feeding - I switched to bottles during the day at around 4/5 months, and kept feeding myself at night until they dropped those feeds, because I was too pure lazy to go down and make a bottle in the night.  And especially during the winter nights!  My husband obviously agreed with my approach - never once did he have to go and make a bottle during the night (though may have been dispensed for calpol the odd time)  ;D

Quote from: Blowitupref on January 12, 2024, 10:16:02 PMLoving the music on the show tonight.
Music was superb. Ralph McTell the icing on the cake. Really enjoyed it.

The Irish names thing from O'Brien was cringy but I mainly enjoyed him too.

Great show, seemed like people there were enjoying it.

I disagree. Cycled round a few vineyards in Sonoma and found a very nice pinot noir in one of them. Just coincidence that it was the last vineyard of the day 🤣

I got a fine in France too, just paid it. Don't want any sort of black mark as I'm there often. They are def strict, and lots of cameras everywhere.
