HT Tipp 1-7 Mayo 0-8. A deserved lead at the break for Tipp. A good enjoyable game. Boyle off with a back card and S O Shea off injured two big blows to Mayo.

Boyle was struggling today even before the black card. He's no spring chicken especially in that heat.

True, as is Coen who gave up three clear possession in first 25 mins, including one tap over from inside 21, this is above his level
