Money, Champions League football guarenteed, winners medals in a few competitions before he retires, just to name a few, not to mention the adoration of 60+ thousand fans every second week.

Let's be honest, the only reason he would go to Celtic would be the Irish connection. It would be madness to go there if he thought he was going to enhance his football career

yer - yer right, Larson really destroyed his career by going to Celtic and the spl ! ! !!  ;) :D

Did I say he would destroy his career ::)
At the moment he is at a top 5 club in the Premiership
If he went to Scotland are you trying to say he would enhance his career?

I think it could
then again I think the spl is a mini me version of the epl - both are rubbish.
Both have only a couple of teams that are capable of winning it.
All the decent football is played by a couple of teams not necessarily a the top of their leagues either!
IMO !

anyhow- I was joking and slagging you with the Larsson reference!

How do you work that one out??????

Perhaps by scoring more league goals with inferior supporting players...?!?!

Just a thought...

Berbatov has had a bigger impact though plus he is younger so will be making an impact for longer than McCarthy. McCarthy is a class player as well though but i think that Berbatov just edges it!!

Because he cost a 3rd of the money and scored more goals.

And he's only a year or so older than Berb

Try 4 years older - McCarthy is almost 30, Berbatov has just turned 26 so arguably just about reaching his peak!

Cost doesn't come into whether a player is better or not...

Berbatov scored 5 less premiership goals - but still scored more over the season....(also 4 of McCarthy's goals were penalties which Berbatov doesn't take)...
Berbatov had 10 assists while McCarthy had none....so in terms of goals scored due to Berbatov he is comfortably ahead...
