Just a reminder that all 4 main parties voted against a tightening of rules around penalties last week in Stormont. Only Alliance and PBP voted for environmental enforcement rules to once again be brought back in line with EU counterparts.

The 4 parties opposed it twice at committee level and now publicly in the chamber. Only 35 farmers would have been affected by the change in 2023, ie a tiny subset who repeatedly broke the rules.

Please don't tell me how farmers are ruining the countryside when your elected representatives can't even make the most basic attempt to implement change. Bear all this in mind this summer when Lough Neagh turns to glue again and SF/DUP bullshit merchants tell us all how they've "set up a committee" and are "finding a way forward".

It was one of those days yesterday, the calls on social media about Davy not getting another job after this one are laughable. People need to relax in my opinion. We've had poor performances before and we will again.

Our performance v Dublin was the worse performance in croke park since Jedward played there and yesterday wasn't much better. I hope we are doing hard physical slogs in training to explain the lack of pace, energy and hapless first touch. We have gone backwards for sure but if it means better performances come championship at the expense of possible relegation that's a dodgy game plan to.

It's still early but I always had concerns tbh. Gleeson had us performing at a very high level for our standards - I wondered would anyone else be able to do that. It's still early so hopefully he'll turn it round but I think sustaining where we were at is a massive effort never mind improving where we were at.

Laois and Carlow games will be dogfights. Dunno how waterford will pan out but hopefully we can get something from the other two and avoid any talk of relegation. If we end up relegated then down might end up above us 

For Liverpool the league is where it's at with not winning loads in recent times and having won the CL. I think Pep would probably feel differently but it depends on the club.

Would it not also get them on equal footing with united league title wise?

Personally I prefer to see Campbell in midfield. There are a lot of things he is very good at but I think he can be a bit loose too.

It's a tough game this one. I would worry we lack a bit of pace in the FB line and Offaly could do some damage there. We were far too good for westmeath tbh and this will probably be a better gauge of where we are. In a perfect world that'll be the same again but I think Offaly will be a much tougher nut to crack.

I think they might wait to the final for that though.
