Oisin didn't sound impressed on the Saturday Game last night.

Clearly the Croatian song was by far the best one there, as was reflected by the public vote. However, the juries decided otherwise, so really it's all about pushing an agenda. Just a confirmation of what was probably always the case. Or certainly recently. Can't be letting the public actually decide!

Neil McManus was asked what needs to change on TSG yesterday and he said stop relegating teams. Make the hurling pool bigger.

I'm not sure I'm in agreement with how the 5 seconds thing actually works at the minute.
I think it should be the period of time the ref uses to see if an advantage presents itself. If it does then it's play on. Regardless of whether it is squandered or not.

Using your example there, I wouldn't be looking to see if a team are better off after 5 seconds but indeed if they were better off at any time during the 5 seconds.

I think it comes down to what is the advantage to be assessed against. Apologies if this doesn't make sense but it's a little difficult for me to explain.

Is the advantage to be compared to the free I.E are the team within 5 seconds better off than they would be if they had the free. If it's that then missing the shot for a point or not having a shot/clear advantage should result in the free. As should fouling the ball.

If the advantage is to be compared to the situation he was in then simply getting away is probably an advantage and any shot definitely is.   

I think it should be somewhere between the two. I really don't like the idea of two shots at goal etc. At the same time I think the advantage has to be meaningful. I think we are trying to achieve some kind of cross between the rugby approach to advantage and the soccer approach. For me I think we should be far closer to the soccer approach.

On an aside I remember a ref in a club game a good few years ago now take a unique approach to the advantage rule. He played advantage on every foul if either team got an advantage. He shouted advantage and when challenged told the players I have to play on because one of the teams now has an advantage. It was bizarre.

Dominating this game.
The ' eejit Kenny on co-commentary who repeatedly claimed Lundstrom's red was not a red.
What a nutcase!

You'd swear there were ten leg-breaking tackles like that every day the way he's going on.

Absolute bellend!

In fairness, rangers manager was unequivocal about it saying it was red and a bad tackle. Bizarre stuff from Miller.

What I understand from his later justifications it's even more bizarre. Kenny claimed that it would not have been a red card tackle in his day, therefore it wasn't a red card tackle.

I think he's just doubling down on his initial decision. Doesn't want to back down. A clown.

Although Sutton is a clown also. Can't stand him.

Yesterday's game, like this year's league, was very hard work by Celtic.  Poor stuff. Should have beaten them out the gate by 4 or 5 goals.  Typical 2-0 up then conceding straight away. Just typical of this season.

Point still stands. Board need to invest big time now. Players like Scales, Harte and Taylor etc. are clearly not at the right standard. Celtic need serious investment.  That should start right now instead of their usual messing about in August.

This will bring in more money via Champions League and good chance Matt O'Riley will go for £10m+.

Scales is better than all your other centre backs in my opinion.

I know social media isn't real but a lot of the bots and pro-Israel accounts are really attacking Bambie Thug. Essentially is this what we are exposing our poor kids to?

Of course, 'won't someone think of the children!' doesn't extend to the ones in Gaza...

The issue with the Tailteann is , as predicted , coverage and publicity .

Could the gaa not trial playing this competition on a Friday night and see what crowds it attracts plus get TG4 to cover it ?

Surely it's worth a try because I have the distinct feeling it's dying on its arse .
