It is hard to believe this is an international tournament.

Is it any wonder the clubs give off about having to release players too it, total shambles from the standard of play, refereeing and actually organisation of the tournament itself.

Its poor but the fitness of that Cameroon team was something else

The standard of play, refereeing, support, practically everything has been dire. Even more criminal is the fact they hold this joke of a comp every 2 years. 4 years would be bad enough but obviously there's more pockets greased every 2 years.

To be fair semi's and finals in any international comp are usually fairly dire due to tiredness and injuries in the squads. I think last night's game had the potential to be a good match if it happened earlier in the tournament. Cameroon, Egpyt and to a lesser extent Senegal are the only teams in the competition who seem to have any quality.

The North African teams seem to have more football about them, which is borne out in the roll of honour.

Egypt play a boring defensive structure. They have quality in Sarah but play Rafael Benitez type football.

There was more exciting teams who went out early like Ivory Coast and Nigeriam

They ere closet to the big European leagues. Location,  location, location.
