I think that rule was changed for the Rio Olympics.

That's simply not true. Ever hear of Pete Rademacher?

I know you've heard of Lomachenko.

And there's the dodgy boxing result. Happens every olympics. O'Rourke looked to have won that comfortably. The Pole wrestled her way through the 3rd and wasn't penalised for holding despite numerous warnings.

Yeah thought O'Rourke was much better and would be straight forward decision for the judges, then as I soon heard split decision a dodgy result was possible. Of course could have stopped that by taking off points for Wojcik for holding.

A disgraceful decision, the officiating at Olympic boxing is as corrupt as ever.

I know I'm biased but the Polish boxer did not even attempt to box. She pulled and dragged from the start. Sickening as Aoife was a genuine medal contender.

Not sure what the answer is when subjective judging is required. There never seems to be the same controversy in gymnastics and other judged sports so it's no wonder boxing is on borrowed time at the Olympics.
