The 'TNT' from that angle looked tame, the crowd on the pitch were passively involved.

It was no River plate 2009 or Donington Park 1991. Still decent for rockers in their 70s and the average age of the crowd mid 40s to early 50s?

Don't think you could ever replicate Riverplate 2009. Naturally the ACDC lads are 15 years younger and the crowd looks substantially young.

Taylor Swift would have filled that place over ten nights the demand was that high.. other than her who in today's modern music scene would fill it?

Ed Sheeran is probably the next biggest artist after that.

Slane would have a multi-Act Bill. In 1995 REM, OASIS, Belly, Sharon Shannon, Luka Bloom.

Are Coldplay classed as modern? over 9 million tickets they have sold on their current tour. Ed Sheeran had close to 9 million on his tour a few years ago and Harry Styles 5 million.

Coldplay are ancient - on the go since 1997. Just they don't seem that way to us auld bucks.

They are promoted as special occasions - hence being able to charge more.

I know Bunker, and I'm part of the problem. Springsteen last year and hopefully Oasis next year. I know they are gouging the sh1te out of it, but what can you do? But, I refuse to pay for a room in a Dublin hotel! Not that I could afford it. Viva le revolution

Castlebar and Westport was at it also for spiking up Hotel/B&B prices for any concerts. Wolftones are playing in the TF Royal hotel the next two nights.  They recently added buses at 15 euro to bring people home
