Newbridge just showed anything is possible.

But you need to believe in yourself first

Would our 2025 Tailteann Cup champions Down be saying they havent a chance against Armagh 3 months before the season has started?

Of.course its a long long shot but we have to try. They were div 2 last year.

Im not Andys keeper. He is getting handsome remuneration to get results.
Time we started seeing some.  Hopefully thats the 2025 season.

Surely a good league run and a respectable performance in ulster is a low enough bar to set?

BS, mediocrity is being polite to Andy and theres nothing cheap about it.  Ive never hid my distain for the tailteann cup and its irrelevence. I stand by that.  Others like you disagree and priortise it over the real championship, fair enough.

League and championship runs have been average for 2 years now. To say anything else is simply misguided.  Thats my opinion, you obviously have yours. Again fair enough.

But its all about his 3rd year, hopefully hes learned enough from his first 2. Andys been around enough corners to know what he has now and im expecting a good showing in the league, at least a single  championship victory in ulster and nothing short of a Tailteann Cup win seeing the importance we put on it.

Andy has the experience, players and resources to win the Tailteann. Personally id love a proper league campaign with him throwing everything at it to gain promotion and see where it takes us come championship

Big big plans MR2. A lot of people.  And maybe even some money spent on the football.

2 phases, 4 strategic target areas, 3 central hubs, 30 players, 4 years.

We'd never see Div 4 again. Cant promise Div 1 though.

Whats your plan?  Dont say the tried and tested 'do nothing' route?

At least thats honest.

Here its water under the bridge.  Going forward is now what matters.

Just want to see the team moving forward, not treading water.

Big season 3 for Andy, i hope he is being proactive

Do we really need to dredge up your comments about EMG at the time? Personally i cant be arsed looking back.

You know yourselves.

Weren't we in Div 2 with Baker?  Then the wheels came off for a host of reasons off the pitch. Whats done is done.

Is Andys best bet developing a proper Antrim system?

It cant be right that Andy had more players to see in the intermediate final than the senior final.

I realise a lot of people disappointed with Cargin winning again which takes the eye away from positivity, but surely the rise of portglenone, st brigids, the usuals such as creggan, lamh dhearg, aghagallon and the potentials of dunloy and tir na nog suggest progress?

Special dispensation for Antrim players unable to commit to a full intercounty season?  As we've seen, out best players arent playing county football.

All we want to see is progress.

We got rid of the manager of the current tyrone champions because he didnt achieve promotion to Div 2.  Whether that was the right call or not it could at least be argued that we showed ambition and believed we could get to Div 2.

Now we're happy drudging about avoiding Div 4.

Andy's 3rd year - its usually make or break.  Not saying we'll get there but hopefully he'll prioritise a promotion push over tailteann cup this season and a proper go at ulster.

Quote from: thegladiator on October 23, 2024, 07:18:05 PMHeard the following -

St .Tereseas have taken option to stay in Div2 /IFC.
Dunloy retain SFC status as a consequence

Aggies have withdrawn from Div 3 playoff with Lochra. Are Lochra promoted?

Gort na Mona members claiming they are staying  in Div 2 as a consequence.

Hard to know what will happen ...of if anyone knows the answers either

I heard something similar, along with D1 being reduced to 12 teams, which could mean the Johnny's get relegated  to d2, which makes me think this part at least won't happen! That would give Div1-12 teams, Div2-12 teams and Div3-8 teams. As usual, a cluster fxxk 1 year carries through to damage several years.

It has been such a mess this year

So all Antrim clubs are rubbish then?  Derry, Down, Monaghan are one horse races, by a distance.   Tyrone and Donegal two horses. Who would St Brigids and Portglenone feel they would struggle with?  They would live comfortably in those other leagues.

it only affects the 3 clubs who won the championships but u21s always feels to be down the pecking order of senior, intermediate, junior and minor championships.
