Should have Justy back, and possibly Stevie on the bench.

I'm told that SoN is hoping to be back for this game. Be great to see him coming off the bench for it.
Stevie is away on a sking holiday that weekend and Mugsy is best man at barry mulligans wedding that saturday so i`d be doubtful if he`s playing either.

Again, very dependent on injury news. What about Jordan?

I'd go with:

McConnell

McCarron
Joe McMahon
Carlin

Harte
Gormley
Ricey

C Cavanagh
Cassidy

Mellon
McCullagh
Tommy

Penrose
Sean
Mulligan
Philly has been back training with them for the last 2 weeks i`d say he`ll be involved this weekend.Brian mc guigan has hurt his knee not sure how serious though.

As far as i know Mugsy was best man at a wedding on saturday and had arranged to miss this game months ago!

There was quite a few worrying signs yesterday, firstly after reading a lot of good things about Cassidy, it was the first time i'd seen him play this year in the flesh and i was quite disappointed. Three times he stood waiting for possession as his man nipped in front of him - surely your midfielder should be attacking these balls, i personally think he's a decent footballer, but there was a worrying lack of desire on a few occassions from him!

Secondly as previously mentioned, the short kick outs where a complete disaster. Why persist with a tactic that when not effective means losing possession inside your own 45m line and one occassion inside our own 21! This puts the team under pressure straight away!

Thridly the tactic of withdrawing Penrose in the first half and leaving a 2 man full forward is ok - but only if the two up there are ball winners and/or lightening fast. For all their attributes - McAnulla and Tommy are not strong enough ball winners to play that role together, so the ball wasnt sticking up front and so putting us under alot of pressure. Its probably a good tactic if stevie o neill and eoin mulligan are up front but not with two fairly lightweight lads!

Finally, i'm a bit concerned with the form of a few of the defence, but i'd be confident enough of these lads sorting things out by the championship!

Overall, disappointing, but a few positives such as the performance of colly mccullagh and penrose, colm cav showed he can do a job in midfield and Justy proved that we just cant afford to lose him for any length of time (Any update on his injury?)

Looking forward to the next few games as they will have a championship feel to them!!
Mugsy was at a stag,he`ll miss the dublin game as well because of a wedding.

This leaves two blood and thunder home games against Kerry and Dublin - a great way to prepare for the Championship. To defeat Kerry in Omagh would also drag the Kingdom into the relegation mire. Should be fireworks.
Does anyone else agree that deep down this may have been Micky's idea.  He wants the lasy 2 games to be meaningful and has set them up rightly, good championship preparation.  He lined out the team yesterday with this in mind.  You will see a much stronger team out for next week, with McCarron, Mugsy, Carlin, Sean O'Neill, McCusker all likely to start and probably Hub.

I must say that Colm Cavanagh looked to have had a good game although it was still round that middle third where we lost it.  Swift, Justy, Ricey and Gormley had poor days while Davey played to his normal standard (teams are starting to target his defending now as Tyrone's weak point).  I felt McAnulla and McCullagh were OK given the amount of ball that came in their direction.  As for the keeping, Devine looked rusty but still a big improvement from the previous keeper.  If we are going to persist with short and directed kick outs, then Dromore keeper Ward is the best man in the county at it, but for some reason Micky just doesn't want to know him.

As for regegation, it wont happen as we will win the last 2.
You musnt watch much club football if you think wards the best goalie in the county ,he`s an absolute clown.

Tyrone team this week shows either (a) that Micky has contempt for the league, is willing to forgo the points this time and wants to set up 2 humdingers with Kerry and Dubs to set a marker down for later in the year, whilst at the same time giving run outs to a couple of men to keep them on board for the training matches later in the year or (b) that Micky does not think a lot of Galway.

I would have liked to see Sean O'Neill and McCarron starting as they deserved it after the last game at the expense od Davey (cant drop Davey!) and Gourley but I think Harte is looking towards the summer and seeing what he has on the bench.  Glad to see McAnulla and McCullagh starting but would have liked to see Mellon or someone more effective instead of Mulgrew, and maybe give more game time to Mark Donnelly or McCusker as Tommy has played almost every game this year so far.

Also, great to see the goalkeeping situation sorting itself out.

I have a sneaky suspicion though that we will sneak it by a few points after a bad first half!
Why do so called tyrone supporters have to snipe at their own players?

No it easier to make an impression when you play in the area of the field that your performances in that position merited your county panel inclusion in the first place.  Would you start Mellon or Dooher in the half back line?
I wud suggest watch the video of the match analyse red sean yes he looks great because of his attacking ability, but you have to remember his job is to defend 1st and foremost  something he is very suspect on ,can be very loose, most of corks play was going through d oconnor who he was supposed to be marking.

Just like the past few seasons we have reached a must win game for Tyrone and the league note en half over. Possibly have Dooher back and will def have Mugsy, Mulgrew and the suspended lads available.

Any word on Sean, Ryan and Philly??

Would appreciate some directions from Lurgan to Inniskeen from the Monaghan lads if possible
They will be making their comebacks for moy in this weekends game in the ulster league.

Tyrone very poor and did not deserve to be within a point of Mayo. Forwards were very slow and give no options to anyone looking to make a long pass. Midfield non-existant in 2nd half. Joe struck out right in front of the ref and left him no option but red. Some very basic errors made today and fittness does not look good either.  Will be fine come May or June but a scrap to stay up now. I thought Colm Cavanagh was brutal (again)espicially in the 1st half. He would struggle to make the top 3 club teams in Tyrone in my opinion.

What the hell game were you watching? He took a lot of deserved stick last weekend but was one of Tyrone's best players today. Caught two marks, scored a great point and was involved in numerous scores. Having watched club football in Tyrone that last comment is just nonsense.

Maybe a bit sore on him but I just think there are much better players in Tyrone than him. He gets far too many chances IMHO and I think this is to keep big brother on side.
Thought colm wasnt far away from being tyrones top preformer today, saying that you probably live close enough to mickey you should give him a call and see what he sees in him.I would assume that use would call yourselves a top 3 club in tyrone, considering use are made up of two clubs and what i seen of use against dromore last year and the big pick that use have and the poaching of other local clubs in that area he would still get on your team,an absolutely ridicolous comment to come out with.

If i was mickey harte i`d make a request 2 the county board to ban all tv footage from healy park they have the power 2 do this, blatant discrimination against tyrone. Also i`d have all management and players withdraw from any media interviews. All we ask for is every county to be treated on equal terms.I was talking to a man from whitecross last weekend at our ulster league game and he was saying that their was a lot of fisticuffs of the ball and nothing done about it in the armagh v meath game. What john miskella done last year was alot worse than any of the 4 players that were suspended.
