Health Insurance & Pre existing conditions

Technically or if it came to disputing a claim legally, when does a pre-existing condition begin - at referral from a GP to a specialist for investigation or when you are officially diagnosed by said Specialist?

This is in North.

I would guess from the outset chap as would one of the questions not have been are you having any investigations etc at the minute so even though the diagnosis not made the ball had started rolling so to speak if that makes any sense..

Benny i'm not 100% sure on this but i think you need to be 2 years free from an existing injury before they consider it gone, so if you have a condition that you have been running to the GP for prescriptions etc that can go against you but if you haven't went near the doc in the last 2 years you should be fine

Would be a new condition.  Suppose I'm really looking to see if I can still get a slippy private policy at this stage and be covered!  I've really started to see the stark limitations of the NHS recently and not just about this.

Worth a try lol worst they would do is refuse ye....but id dare say if theres notes of any relevance on your files it will come out
