The competitive nature & great rivalry of our province has helped ourselves & Tyrone to All Ireland success moving to leinster or elsewhere would lose that IMO.

which is why L'pool have the second meanest defence in the EPL (after the Arse).

Don't think the Arse have anywhere near the meanest defence in the EPL
Oops!  :-[

Scanned the table too quickly (and somehow overlooked 8 goals at MU and 4 at B'burn Rvrs!  :D).

Anyhow, this still kinda proves my point, which is that L'pool, with the fewest goals conceded in the EPL, rely primarily on tight defensive discipline and a competitive midfield to win games.

Which is why they don't create many easy chances close-in against their opponents.

Which in turn is why they are reduced to shooting from distance, or hoping Suarez will do something special.

Which possibly explains why they are hitting the woodwork more than other leading, attack-minded teams.

Take away the Manchester derby result MU only let in 8 goals in 15 games, would you call them mean in defence? Swansea with less resources have done well in defence Vorm for me has been the best keeper in the Premier league this season i think eight clean sheets already.

There would be less talk about changing the provincial set up if Munster football was as competitive as Munster hurling.

Enjoyed that. City are a decent, physically strong team but not as good as I'd imagined them to be. They could easily have lost that game but that'll stand them in good stead. Arsenal need to lift themselves straight away and get 3 points at Villa on Wednesday to stay with the top 4.

Big pity Walcott hid for most of it.

That won't be hard villa are truly awful
Won't be as awful if Agbonlahor,Bent return on Wednesday.

so if you are unlucky when you hot the woodwork you must be lucky when it goes in the net? doesnt make sense

a ball that goes in the net is a good finish - if it goes anywhere else is a bad finish including woodwork

So if someone hits a shot from 30 yards and it hits the post that's poor finishing? That certainly doesn't make any sense.

Unfortunately it can't be boiled down to the overly simplistic ball goes in the net = good finishing, anything else = bad finishing.

Ask yourself would Fowler or Rush have missed those chances this season? Liverpool not having a top marks man is going to cost them a champions league place.

By Jove.

Jinxy is correct. Shove Longford, Westmeath, Laois and Offaly into the Wesht.

Mayo would never win a title again.

And leave Meath to be ridden by Dublin and/or Kildare, Wexford, Louth in quieter surroundings
Longford,Westmeath,Laois won't stop Mayo from winning Connacht but there inclusion would allow Sligo,Leitrim,Roscommon the opportunity to win more games.

A black and tan is also nice.
Some have it half Guinness half Smithwicks but I'd prefer the 3/4 Smithwicks and top off the head with a drop of Guinness.
U
That's also known as a "spesssshial" in the west.

A speshil puts the Guinness in first .

Not in west sligo and mayo. It's a pint of smithwicks with a Guinness head.
Had that in Sligo once, the worst pint i ever had.

I don't think this deserves much credit at all. It would appear that you'll pay the same whether your county plays 3 games or 5. I think they should just price the McKenna cup games at a reasonable level in the first place (i.e. a fiver).

I don't see the point in messing about with administration of a season ticket scheme for a short series of games like this. Hard to imagine them selling many more than 100 of these.

Yeah should be no more than a fiver for McKenna cup games.

In more positive rumours (from a source on a lfc website that has been bang on to date on stadium) - New stadium, 75k capacity, naming rights are agreed which was holding it up - Boeing seem to be the one, strange one but there you go.
60k capacity same as the Emirates would be more than enough.

Give Liverpool reserves a 4-0 trimming tonight. Always nice to beat the dippers. :)

Wouldn't be getting too excited with that. Game was even till Suso was sent off.

Liverpool reserves must be poor if Mame Biram Diouf can score a hattrick.
