Quote from: Hard2Listen2 on February 11, 2025, 07:45:44 AMAny update on who's taking Kilcoo?

Word going around that it is Rory Gallagher but no-on in Kilcoo I know will confirm it. Apparently the club members were polled to see if they would approve of him coming in to the club.

Quote from: Duine Inteacht Eile on February 11, 2025, 11:27:43 AMQuite the opposite. I don't want it moved out of Corrigan. You do!
If we do that, it may as well be Newry as Ballycastle.

If the Ulster Council say we can't play in Corrigan then Ballycastle is the next best Venue within our county.

I'm all for Corrigan and hope we stand our ground.
McEntee is from Meath, probably as stubborn as they come. I can't see the players and management backing down.  And good on em.

Unless not being allowed to play the Tailteann Cup comes into play...

That's a real possibility.
It shouldn't matter, they should hold their ground. They have full public support across all Ulster counties as far as I can see. Apart from McManus, who is just a puppet for the GAA and has sadly disgraced himself on this, why on earth has he got involved in this publicly?

Whats his injury?

It's fairly simple. If you are drawn out first you get home advantage. If the demand for the game exceeds that of ground capacity then the Ulster Council have every right to ask the home team to move, however the home team should also have every right to say no!

Ulster University lacked a spark. Had the opportunity to win it in normal time and blew it.

Yeah i thought they'd at least 2 good opportunities to pull the trigger in injury time and then a scoreable free.

Overall, the best team went through IMO

Yes best team wet through, DCU were more spirited throughout and better set up. UU had all the big name county stars but that doesn't always make a team. Should be a good final. No love lost between DCU and UCD.

Antrim / Re: Antrim Football Thread

In fairness to Ulster Council they want to let as many people watch the game as possible, that has always been their priority and conveniently that will see their income increase also.

That all said, if Antrim were pulled out of the hat first and want the game at home (despite the venue being inadequate) then that's where it should be. The Casement issue is not the fault of Antrim and their home venue is their home venue so that's where it should be played!

Quote from: JimStynes on February 02, 2025, 09:49:14 PMMust say I really do enjoy Brolly and Fanning's podcast. Some great guests and interesting topics.

I listen to the podcast on occasion also and the politics content is excellent. Really good listen.
The GAA content on the other hand is just ideological waffle. It's just Brolly with his made up stories (usually designed to make him look like the hero) and Dion unable to challenge anything as he's clueless.

No such thing as Sigerson weekend anymore. Final on a Wed night.
Sigerson seems to have died a death a long time ago which is very unfortunate.

Only a fool would believe Brollys stories.
It's another attempt to make himself relevant, suggesting that Jim Gavin is in constant touch with him is classic Brolly.
