Well done Ballinderry+Glenswilly-
Obviously,Ballinderry knew to get into their weary opponents early-who knows how much they'd have won by with their full 15

Hard to believe that some on here thought Kilcoo were favourites for Ulster,yet they were'nt even favourites to win their semi-final(shakes head  ;D ;D)

Matching Crossmaglen is no guarantee of an Ulster title unfortunately(this year anyway   ;)

Ladbrokes may have had  the Magpies odds on ,however:

PP,Bet365,Boyles and numerous other firms had the Derry champions as CLEAR favourites on the day-a complete reversal of the knee jerk reaction that made Kilcoo favourites after they beat a severely weakened reigning Armagh and Ulster champions

Higgins had a shocker, too many players bad mouthing and pushing players then lying down if lee harvey Oswald was taking pot shots from the stand, terrible stuff, The McGuckin Incident was very little, the player didnt even go down, hear the roar from the crowd , looked over at the lineman then went down, the soccer disease has truly took to the Gaelic, Ballinderry dominated at midfield and probably should have had the ball in the net twice before they actually did. Were winning handy enough until the senting off. Enda Muldoon coming on steadied the ship again, its a pity hes 36, its the only reason why he doesnt start.Had it stayed 15 on 15 Ballinderry would have won handy. Ballinderry played 10 times better the day than against Scotstown.

Is Muldoons recent injury the reason he isn't starting?  Has he not missed a lot of this season through injury?

With Kilcoo getting beat, what does that say about Crossmaglen?

That's just, like your opinion man.

Well the word going around the Monday Club in Cross is that it was all Jamie Clarke's fault.....splitter!!!!

armaghniac

The absence of Aaron Kernan was important and other absences added up.
Plenty of comments earlier in the year that Armagh wouldn't be any use until they had Clarke and Kernan.

As an ignorant Free Stater, TG4 highlights last night were the first I've seen of Ballinderry..looked very impressive. Serious forward line. Bell has massive potential. Gilligan is decent obviously, Colly Devlin is handy and that McGuckin lad half forward kicked one lethal point. And then you had this legend with no.4 on his back scoring 1-2! Can someone at the game tell me if that was a deliberate ploy to push him up on what Kilcoo thought would be a spare man in their half back line? Looked that way and really worked out well if so.
Didn't get to see Ballinderry's defence tested much in the highlights, although they were ran through far too easily despite having 12 inside their 45 at one stage..would assume they don't make a habit of it?
Ballinderry were 5/1 for Ulster a while back..wish I'd put more than the 10 yoyos on it now. Think they will have too much skill and pace for Glenswilly based on what little I've seen, but then again a couple of high balls into Murphy can change a whole game..

A summary of those left I believe:

Antrim = St Galls
Armagh = Cross / Cullyhanna
Cavan = Ballinagh
Derry = Ballinderry
Down = Burren / Kilcoo
Donegal = Glenswilly / Killybegs
Fermanagh = Roslea
Monaghan = Scotstown
Tyrone = Clonoe

Quarter final draw:

Ballinderry / Clonoe v Scotstown
Burren / Kilcoo v Cross / Cullyhanna
Glenswilly / Killybegs v St Galls
Ballinagh v Roslea

So who is going to win the ulster club? Can we break these teams into 3 categories:

No chance - Clonoe / Cullyhanna / Ballinagh / Glenswilly / Killybegs / Kilcoo
A glimmer of a chance - Scotstown / Ballinderry / Roslea / Cross
Realistic contenders for ulster & AI = Burren / St Galls

I fancy Burren to come good this year and make the most of Crossmaglen's absentees

Fair play to Kilcoo. Despite the money Burren throw at it they don't seem to have the same drive in them as previous eras.

No easy games from here on in!! All teams will expect to do well against the teams they are playing

You're starting to sound like me!!!!  You boys have a clear run to the final, Glenswilly would be your only threat and you should deal with them comfortably. I reckon the winners of Scotstown and Ballinderry will be the eventual winners.

[Ballinderry will need to have improved a lot from last year if they are to beat Clonoe out the gate. Errigal beat them last year in a close enough affair and I can tell you that Clone of 2013 are every bit as good as Errigal of 2012 and maybe even a bit better.

On the 14th October I thought it would be a Cross v St Galls final. Based on games seen and performances since that date I have changed my opinion also.
