I got that impression too.. like a wizard with these strange powers.

A Message For When I'm Gone

Ireland
it is little or no favours
you ever did me or my poems
when I was alive.

I have this terrible feeling
that sometime
after I'm gone
you will swing into
your usual
rearguard action

so
posthumously,
in advance,
stick it up your ar*e.

What happened to the dog?

Probably dehydration.  Got some procedure with the vet days before and was kept and found dead in the cage.

Sad story. Poor Gene probably rumbling around for days not knowing what was going on.

Very sad situation.

You'd imagine  she might have had hired help or a paid carer to help her out, stay over some nights. Caring for a  95 year old with advanced dementia would be  exhausting I'd imagine, even for someone  fit and well. Someone like that coming and going might have saved  her, and him (for another while anyway)

It seems she died  of a virus picked up from rodent droppings.

Shamrock Shore
