Fear ón Srath Bán

Fair points RS, Petey Harte was uncustomarily uninvolved last night, and Clarke did very well too when introduced. Justy looked none the worse for wear after the full 70, which is promising - he's a massive reassurance at the back.
Carlsberg don't do Gombeenocracies, but by jaysus if they did...

Good luck with your tactics board Emmet, but you included Damien Turley, who went off injured before half time, in your analysis of the second half Tyrone goal.  It is likely that you meant to refer to Eoin Costello.

Doh. Spent so long trying to track Down who McCartan was that I skimped time on that one. My apologies.

At this early stage performance is just as important as result. On the field we had a decent performance, the fact that we lost to a fitter hungrier team, could be more attributable to our side-line team losing their focus while engaging in juvenile antics.

Were Coney and McCurry on the bench? I think only 26 can get officially named in the program.

Tyrone are some crack ridiculing referees when you see what they have given to referees in the game over the years. we dont have to look too far back to remember the idiot who embarrassed the GAA in croke park two years ago depriving a small county and its people their first leinster title in over 50 years. Remember your teasm isnt the easiest to referee with all the negative tactics that have been drilled into them since birth.
Then look at your supporters and the pressure and intimidation they put on referees. Some of them you would think were just let out after being tethered up for the winter.

Surprised there hasn't been more talk on the board about how poor the referee was. Both Mickey Harte and McCartan have had a go about his standard. They are right, he was incredibly inconsistent and it was good for neither team. From what I could see his policy seemed to be only to punish offences that occurred within a 20m radius of him, anything further away was play-on. Regardless of how bad the offence was.
