I'm guessing this means they're not getting promotion now also or is it just that Aghyaran is also getting promoted?

think only one team gets promoted mate. doesn't look like its going to be greencastle however

think there is no word of it officially yet as greencastle have appealed the decision, rumour has it a certain solicitor from omagh is on the case and it isn't often he doesn't win. time will tell
Think its two pal Moortown also going up. Time will tell indeed

You'd imagine that's its points docked from the start of this season and a few heavy suspensions to those involved. Nobody likes the rule but everyone abides by it. It would be a logistical nightmare to start going back thru teamsheets and no video evidence to back it up. Only there was a video of the last match is how they got caught out apparently. A good year or 2 ban for the chairman, Secretary and manager should send out a clear message

what happened?
Greencastle playing illegal players in league games last year. Few clubs have appeal this in search of points for promotion/ relegation implications

Man Marker

when you mean illegal, were they players from other counties or clubs? Can you be more precise, thanks.

One underage player is thought to have featured numerous time through the league.

Thanks, well thats clear cut,  same rules for everyone. Although I think the rule is stupid, but thats a congress call.

Stupid rule agreed. Think he was still playing minor football at the same time but

Tyrone11234

I agree the rule is stupid however there are many clubs who would like to utilise minors who are good enough for seniors- but they follow the rules and don't. Any club not following the rules needs to face the consequences. I don't see how the Omagh man can make an argument, maybe the appeal was past a deadline ?

This ordeal with greencastle will be some craic. Effects teams who were promoted(gcastle), who missed out on promotion(yarn)  and also teams that were relegated to d3 (aghaloo).

There is talk now that Killeeshil are now going to go down and aghaloo stay up, it's becoming a bit of a mess now. With 18 teams in division 2 would it not be best to keep the two up and relegate 3 this year, hard way to go down for Kileeshil if it happens.

Tyrone11234

Confirmed this morning that Greencastle lost the league- still trying to appeal it but looking all but confirmed now.

GKunion

If it is causing so much mess should this not mean Greencastle should get sanctioned heavily. Probably is the case but id imagine other teams will be making themselves heard over the next few weeks

That video of them in the changing room after the last league game isn't going to age well.

League fixtures can't be released until it's all sorted out and with potential appeals from greencastle and any club that is affected regarding relegation, it could mean that teams won't know who they are playing or what division they are until a few weeks before the league.

Tyrone11234

League is still 10 weeks away plenty of time to sort it

Look at the Donegal county final of 2020 these things take time
