Poor second half. Too many players not firing at the moment. Trusty and Bernardo really poor tonight. Squad needs quality added quickly.

Dundee were robbed tonight. Bullied Celtic. Celtic had 83% of possession in first half...with 2 shots.  Dundee had 2 shots also in the first half. WTF?

Brendan Rogers is an average manager.  Needs to starts his strongest team then make subs, as required. Not sure why he chops and changes. Brings Taylor back. He needs to make changes at half-time. Like Ibrox a few weeks ago, he bottled it. Too slow to make the changes. Players are too comfortable under him.

It's clear to me that Idah (£9m) and Trusty (£6m) should be on the bench. Not good enough. Bullied out of it. Trusty is a bombscare. For a big lad, he gets pushed about. Then compare Sutton and Idah...at the same price. Crazy stuff. Poor work there by Celtic's recruitment team. £15m. Yes £15m.

Yang shouldn't start either. Had enough chances.  I think Engels will come good. He's young and takes time to settle but he'll be fine I think.  There's a footballer in there.

My final thoughts is to drop Mc Gregor for a game or 2. It just passes him by. He has no influence on the game. Time on the bench will do him no harm.

From the Bunker

The League is over and resting players and keeping injuries to a minimum for the Champions League (and the Scottish Cup) is the priority.

Doing this will see hap-hazard results in this period. It's a balancing act.

We will judge Rogers on on how he gets on in these competitions and if there was a plan.

Dunno how you think Dundee were robbed?.
BR is an average manager?. How do you work that out?. BTW I'm not saying he's the dogs bollix either...just asking.
There is no winter break this year and players are playing a game every 3-4 days with little recover on heavy pitches, if he doesn't chop and change he will get more injuries and then the situation gets worse.
Idah does not do enough for me TBH, he needs to be doing more and with the chances he gets in Scotland he should be scoring a lot more as for Trusty his performance last night was embarrassing tbh. Knocked off the ball easily and at fault for 2 goals even though Dundee's first two goals were lucky and only the deflections put them on target but they all still count.
I don't rate Yang either and I agree with Cal Mac, people make him out to be undropable and some sort of Roy Keane but I think he's short on pace and height and get's shown up a lot so for me he's not an automatic pick just because he's the captain.

Scales may have been a better fit for the physical challenge of Dundee but other than that it was probably the strongest side BR could pick given players returning from injury. Idah needs to do more than celebrate others sticking the ball in the net and whilst McGregor's performances have dipped I don't see anyone in the squad who can take his place. A young defensive minded midfielder would be a good addition to the squad.
Does anyone else think we are awful at set pieces - attacking corners seem to be hit and hope and defensively we don't look solid. Conceding 17 seconds after an attacking corner isn't a good stat and they do look vulnerable against a break in these situations. I also think they are really bad at retaining possession from throw in.

Listened to an interesting podcast from a premier league physio and it gave me a totally different outlook on team selections for those weekend then mid week games. Everything is monitored with these lads! The risk of injury increases massively, especially the likes of a hamstring injury. So I can see why he chops and changes. Saying that Celtic should still have enough to beat the likes of Dundee. I actually thought it was a decent match and Celtic should have had the game wrapped up after the second goal. Stupid goal at the other end straight after and next thing Celtic are hanging on! BR is one of the better managers Celtic have had in the past 20 years. He has the league wrapped up by Christmas. Some of his signings are crap enough. Did we really think Idah was going to turn into a goal machine? He is mediocre at best ffs. Was totally silly signing him for nearly £10m. I am hoping the likes of McGregor is saving his best for the bigger games because he was useless last night.

Fabrizio Romano says Kieran Tierney deal is on. Doesn't mention if it's now or the summer but great news for the physios.

Heading to the game on Wednesday nite (I think) and getting apprehensive about it as you all know if there's a hard way of doing something Celtic will find it and some. An early goal will really help settle the nerves and keep the fans on board, could be a special nite too off course.
Fingers crossed my mad flight to Edinburgh at tea time doesn't back fire...lol

Must win tonight. 9 points looked like it might be enough but probably won't be.

Stupid foul from McGregor for the second Kyogo disallowed goal as the Young Boys player had already lost possession. Another offside goal since this too. All decisions correct in the end.

Get Engels off penalties!
This lot are hatchet men. I'd take a 1-0 at this stage
