Hard to beat a decent burger. In Out / 5 guys pretty good. I wouldn't thank you for a McDonald's though I'd take a Burger King. I've had a very swanky one out of Gordon Ramseys Burgr joints, far far too convoluted. Most chippers, well in this part of the world all buy from the same supplier so, well all taste the same!
There's a place in Derry, Pyke n Pommes (permanent street food stall) that does the best I've had. Unreal. I'm in Dublin in a couple of weeks and have been recommended Bunsen for a tasty bite
Went to Bunsen once, thought it was a novelty, decent, but didn't see what the fuss was about..
Heard very poor reports about the five guys burgers! (And the price of course).
GAA match day burgers after a few pre match pints are always my favourite.
Belfry in Sligo town
Just made the best burgers tonight! Filled with diced up onions peppers hint of garlic and black pepper in a brioche bap and melted cheese!
Ferg Burger
The Counter,Suffolk Street in Dublin.Best burgers I've had by a mile.
Supermacs of course also.
Used to love the Aussie Burger in Hungry Jack's when I was in Australia.

Big als stranmillis or the plough hillsborough was where i had the best burger i ever had and only had had disappointments since!
For once i agree with mr!
I had one in Galway. BóTown was the name of the spot.
A burger called the yellowbelly. By jaysus 'twas lovely.
I liked it so much that I remember the burger's name.
In saying that, it was a chicken breast burger, without batter, breadcrumbs and all that sh1te.
Does a chicken burger qualify ?

Hmm, it would if it were batter!!
Onions and red a must on my burgers!! Chip van in Clones after a skinfull!!
Can't be doing with "restaurant" burgers that require a knife and fork. Defeats the purpose of a burger. Five Guys fully loaded is decent but have only ever them in America as wouldn't pay the money for them here. Went to Honest burger a few weeks ago and it was lovely. Hard to beat a burger van burger with onions and red after a few pints
Anyone have one from rocket and relish on the Lisburn road? It's closed there a year or so ago but was by far the best I ever had
Christmas market is on in Belfast, get your fill of burgers
La dolce vita burger bar in Newry. Quality.
The 'Dirty Burger' at Captain Mike's pub on the harbour in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Best ever.
In n Out's hard to beat
Peter's..opposite the Skylon...A great pre croker game burger and chip

A shame as that place was great. Seems no matter who goes into that spot they can't turn a profit. New business every 3 or 4 years.
In Belfast Eddie Rockets is as good as anywhere. Fine guys is massively overrated and scandalously priced.
In Dublin Bunsen is top quality, as is Bobos. For a slightly "dirtier" burger, it's hard to beat Rick's, especially after a few pints.
Further afield, also agree with Fergburger and In 'N' Out!
Galway is Handsome Burger.
Has anyone tried Wowburger in Mary's hardware in Dublin? Loved it but it might've been due to the pints
Au Cheval back in Chicago is usually rated one of the top in the country

American burgers are overall middlin, for a start the baps are always to sweet and smothered in even sweeter crappy sauce
No burger like a Clones burger with fried onions and a bit of brown sauce...deadly!
Hang on Eamonn... I didnt know they had a Veggie burger?
;)

Double, double, animal style is hard to beat from in n out...quare value as well. Would also like The Habit.
Was just in the Ramore last night, not the best I've ever had but for 4 quid got 2 patties, bacon, Tabasco onions and topped with chili chicken. Was very nice and can't argue with the price

MR..a family member made these Jamie Oliver burgers with the crackers in them for us a night, really delicious. Re onions, love them but wouldn't have them in a burger
Need to give a shout out to the Burger Shack in Strandhill, Co Sligo. Cracking burgers.
Must try that Bunsen Burger, there's one a 10 minute walk from the office and gives me an excuse to get out!
Bunsen is now my favourite. Double cheeseburger medium, class. I hear that Pablos in Belfast rivals it as well but haven't visited there yet.
5 Guys burgers are great but cost a small fortune. Heard Bunsen has the edge though.
Five Guys are nice but the price for what it is, is ridiculous. Not worth it at all.
The one in Craigavon will be closed within 18 months, I guarantee it. The amount of people I have seen that have went once and then say never again at the prices. They will not get repeat custom.

They were in a different place last year but are back in the same place by the gate opposite the apartment this year. It's the one thing I look for in that market lol.
Bunsen is the best value I think I really enjoy the place. In eat out no f**king around. It's not too expensive either which is probably why it does so well. I couldn't believe the turnover of people in it when I was there and the burger was very good!

It is a rip odd but will it close? I know county people don't like spending money but the burger is not bad..
My daughter will go with friends and they order a chip and a drink between them and get a burger. Still over the odds but a Signature burger meal in McDee's is over 7 quid!
Chips in 5 Guys are delish as well. Done in peanut oil. The price is crazy but it is a cut above the most flavour wise. Nice for a once in a while treat, Brought the Mrs in once for a quick bite to eat and when she saw the reciept I had to stop her from trying to bring it back ;D

I did look online but cunningly the menu didn't have prices
The burgers in mcdonalds are actually not that bad and probably better than 5 guys in my view.

Was in Rushmere on Thursday afternoon and it was empty with McDonald's doing decent trade. It's a pity for the workers in there but the stuff is too dear for a burger in a shopping centre.
And Nando's next door is flying as well which is bound to grate on them.

How was Buxton? Had a heavy enough night out in it 22 years ago!
It's a hideaway place stuck away from reality! Beautiful town with lovely architecture and of course the constant flow of Buxton spring water at an open fountain..
Great bars and decent restaurants, the locals though are inbred! Drank mainly in Buxton brewery bar. Weatherspoons was good for cheap food! Couple of great cocktail bars one dodgy nite club..
I enjoyed it though, great views around the hills and full of ramblers and tourists. Wouldn't mind going back with the wife
Aye it's a nice part of the world. I spent a month and half tramping around the Peak District years ago. Lovely around Castleton, Edale, Kinder etc. Like you I keep saying I'll go back but still haven't got around to it.

Speaking of rubbish food. Frankie & Benny's has to be the worst chain of eateries about. Don't understand the popularity.
It is absolute shite. See also TGI fridays.
Frankie & Bennys is the most vile of all the vile chain restaurants.
It's actually really disappointing that the premium chain restaurant concept from the States is so poorly replicated in this part of the world. Over there, Chillis, Outback, Applebee's, Cracker Barrel, are all worth pulling over for a visit. Good, copious food and not too expensive.
When translated to the UK/Ireland, everything goes bland, yet the price goes up.
It will maybe dawn on franchisees soon that these places work best when they're out of town - reduced rates, and increased parking spaces - and maybe then they might spend more on ingredients.
Big Mac ;)

Is that the place near the Northern Whig? If so then yes, I had a dirty burger out of there after a few pints and it didn't touch the sides.

Never have been a fan. Kfc must better in my book lol.
KFC better than Nandos? Nah. I do like a KFC but Nandos is better. Always get the butterfly chicken with the macho peas.
The one near me does takeaway also!
Would always get KFC if I'm in another country... I like the chicken pieces on the bone but if you get them here they are literally dripping in grease for some reason and that's not the case in other countries!
Frankie & Bemny's is total muck! Also any Wetherspoons!

Lloyd Cole's hometown. His family ran a pub there in the 1990s which I spent a hazy evening in! ;D

Was always hard to beat Paddy Donnelly's chippy in Coalisland. And if you didn't like burgers, he had a great John Wayne supper.
Jaysus , I put away some Cowboy suppers in Paddy Donnelly's over the years, decent chicken burgers as well...

The very place. Burgers are superb and well priced also.
Had my first 5 Guys the other week (hadn't planned on eating there but it was right next door to the pub we were in in Dublin)...€17 for a burger (regular, not double), fries and a Sprite. Was decent but not €17 worth of decent !

You could buy a house for that in Mayo

Been to one in Belfast, after paying I was going to ask "is it 5 guys or 5 Michelin stars" on the door. The food was Mc Donald's standard.
Nice wee burger place out at the Dundonald Cineplex called Wolfes do a great selection of burgers.
Think they've a load of sister "diners" like Bubba Drews in Craigavon and Hill Billy Fuel in Omagh.
Hard to beat Bigger Baps😜
