That is very wishful thinking with this team at the minute...

Injuries or no injuries they have to get Amrabat out of left back.

Yes United in their current shape are more likely to get zero points against Copenhagen.

Option B of taking Amrabat a midfielder out of left back is to play Lindelof right back, Maguire given a start and Dalot whom was awful in his preferred position tonight moved to left back.

Yeah I know there's no easy fix but the defence is going to be poor with or without him at LB. The midfield is constantly getting overrun and exposing the defence. So if you can get him into his best position and pray he does what he was brought in to do, you can take some pressure off the defenders that way.

Maguire should probably be starting the next game no matter what.

Which goals tonight came from MF being overrun?

Watch Casemiro attempting to track the runner from midfield. Amrabat also gets cleaned out in the LB position from the throw in.

Not sure how much more of Utd I can take this season, and they've only played 10 games. Dreadful stuff there.

I think I said on this thread that Onana will change the way Utd play. Well I was 100% correct there but not in the way I intended. He's falling apart in goals.

Hojlund looks brilliant. Rashford looks devoid of any confidence. How many world class forwards are passing that ball he tried to give to Bruno? Personally think Bruno has been as bad as anyone in recent games too.

Ten Hag will need to turn things around quickly or he'll be facing the chop.

Anybody got any sites to stream the match on the phone later tonight? Don't think the hotel we're in here is going to be showing it.

Could be a long 90mins. An already out of form squad ravaged by injuries. 4 goalkeepers in the squad and only 5 defenders...

Brighton are a very good side.  Sometimes teams lose to very good sides, even when they are the "bigger" club.

I know Brighton are a good side but it's the manner in which Utd are beaten week in week out that is concerning. The 2nd half against spurs was the same and wolves did the same as well but fortunately they sneaked a win from that.

Squad is a mess. They spunked 70m on Casemiro who had a decent season last year but looks miles off it now. 70 mil and what 300k a week for one season. They have £150m worth of right wingers not even training with the 1st team squad for different reason. Both of whom they massively overpaid for. Massive overpayment on Maguire too means they are stuck with assets they can't shift and FFP restrictions.

Was thinking that there now, normally after a Liverpool win and Utd loss he'd have plenty to say >:(

So many average players at Utd. Years and years of poor spending coming to the fore. Martial dandering around there, not a care in the world.

Ten Hag given a lesson by De Zerbi today.

Don't worry it's only a trip to Munich next....

Whether Sancho thinks ETH is right or wrong, that is not the way to respond. You put your head down in training and do your best to prove him wrong. Unfortunately with the entitlement of the spoilt shits nowadays that was never going to happen.

Is Shaws injury a bad one? Utd looking to bring in the spurs fella who doesn't play..Reguilon. The other fella Ten Hag brought on last year not good enough?

Malacia is out for a wile too, not sure how long and read somewhere Shaw is looking at about 10 weeks but that was just speculation. Utd are being very secretive about what injuries players have picked up. Think they're looking to send Regullon back in January once the injuries clear up.

In terms of the football...
The midfield is shocking. I thought Mount would have legs but his game was more high pressing.
Himself and Bruno are fecked once people run off them.

Agree with a lot of this, Bruno and Mount pressing with little joy and it totally exposes Casemiro once the press is broken. Need a more defensive minded midfielder in there alongside Casemiro who doesn't seem as mobile this season.

He'll probably make a few errors during the season and that probably comes with the territory but Onana's ability on the ball really shows just how limited De Gea was. His ability to pick a pass is top class for a keeper.

Thought that was a penalty too but as MR2 says these things even themselves out over the season, so we can move on from the wolves one now   ;)

He's going to get paid a massive amount more than he would have at West ham. Think he's smart enough.

Have to laugh at the arrogance of big clubs simply expecting players to voluntarily give up truck loads of cash that they're contractually entitled to so that the club can receive a transfer fee.

I agree with a lot of this, many a time when a player wants to the leave clubs are quick to say they have a contract and are expected to honour it but when the shoe is on the other foot they don't like it so much.

I see further down you mentioning that he's entitled to the entirety of the remainder of his contract. Surely Utd wouldn't have to pay it all out? If they could negotiate some sort of deal where they subsidies his wages for the remainder of the time he had left at Utd. So if he's on 200k a week at old Trafford and West  Ham offer him 100k and he has 2 years left on his contract at Utd then utd keep paying him 100k a week for those 2 years so he's not at a loss. Not sure if that sort of compromise could happen but would be a good deal for all, no? Maguire gets to play in the 1st team at a big club without taking an instant wage cut and Utd get rid of half his wages plus the significant transfer they receive for a player they clearly don't want.

Or maybe that's all a bit too idealistic from me 😂
