Re the shinners all well and good standing at the side line slabbering all the time in terms of what they would do if they were on the pitch.

However it is now inevitable that SF will be in charge in the not too distant future but to keep the football analogies going they are strong down the middle in terms of Mary Lou, Pearse D and your woman that ripped your man out of RTE a new one the time of the PAC post Ryan T saga but they are carrying far too many passengers.  Their bench is too weak and regarding their cohorts in the north they would be the equivalent of your junior B players.....at best.

Must be bad when even GB News cancelled him as a lot of their presenters really are the scrapings at the bottom of the barrel.......what did he do?

Did not realise Chrissy McK was part of the Ardboe set up.  Between still playing at senior level for both codes for S'neil and also being their full time games development officer he is obviously a busy man.

Wouldnt say they bottled it. They were beat by the better team on the day.

If you mean they wouldnt have a better chance to get to a final, then i agree.

As McGourty said on commentary, they lack the scoring forwards. Will always come back to bite them.

The double is very much on. I fully expect Cargin to win, but Dunloy will not fear them. And nor should they.

They have some of the most skilled footballers in the County & thats the way they play. No fear.

Seann Elliotts point in the 2nd half...will be hard pressed to see a better score this year.

Have Dunloy many dual players?  Fair play to them, similar to Slaughtneil in terms of reaching high levels on both codes.

Tyrone / Re: Tyrone Club Football and Hurling

Quote from: Mikhailov on September 22, 2023, 02:32:44 PMThought Hurson let Errigal systematically foul Killyclogher all night. Every time Errigal lost possession, Killyclogher were immediately fouled. Surely a referee of Hurson's stature should be alert & wise to that
One of the McCanns got clipped late on in front of the tv camera and even Paddy tally said the referee will have to come back to deal with that but nothing happened. Right in front of the linesman

In saying all of the above, Errigal are a slick outfit. Harte has been priming them for the rigours of the Ulster club later in the year

When was the last time a Tyrone team won the Ulster Club (Senior)?

One for the fitness experts out there.

Bulked up to 90kg at the start of the year, being cutting / losing weight since Easter.  Slow enough progress but got weight down to approx 82 / 83 kg.  Going to start a bulk again in October from what I can gather recommended gain is circa 0.5kg per week so if I did it for 16 weeks that in theory bring me back to 90kg.  Would it normally be the case that you would try to put back on in a bulk what you lost in your previous cut?

A team who believe they are capable of winning an All Ireland and a manager who has a point to prove as many believe, especially in his own county, he did not have it in him to win an All Ireland again.

Some crack if Derry draw Donegal in the championship with the boul Jim back on the scene.

Kevin Lynch's Hurling Club Dungiven going by the tanking they got in the County final yesterday.

The gap between them and Slaughtneil getting wider.

Saw a bit of it last nigh and indeed truly shocking.

The victim accounts were harrowing however and indeed this investigation / documentary seems to be in the making for some time.  It would have been a big step for them coming out and giving the producers the full accounts of the various events and indeed such producers would have been thorough so to ensure accusations were neither false nor libellous.  That being said and having taken that big step I am wondering why did none of the victims make a formal complaint to the police.  If they did or someone in similar position made a complaint now could RB's legal team argue that last nights show would affect his chances of a fair trial?

Strange time for the Dispatches programme to be on, why not put it out on a week night when it is usually on.

I would imagine a few of the Sunday papers will be holding their front pages to the last minute.

Did a bit of reading over holidays so realise it would be a good habit to get into again.  Was thinking of getting an Amazon Kindle but I see you can get an Amazon Fire for similar money which seems to be similar to an ipad plus will also act as a Kindle.  No big expert on tech stuff so just wondering why is the Kindle on its own (16GB) is similar money even though it only does one thing.

I wonder what odds you would get with PP for a Glen V Kilcoo final.

Awful because it's true?

There are people who don't know what happened to their families. While it didn't happen in my family I would be pretty sure if it happened in mine I would want to at the very minimum know what happened to them. You look at the likes of Lisa Dorrian and some of the disappeared etc sure they barely even know where their family end up. People need some form of closure. It doesn't need to be convictions or money.

The head of the police resigned mainly due to incompetence.
Agree 100% that nobody should have to live carrying that with them. The perpetrators of these types of crimes, where there is no body and no closure, are no better than Brady and Hindley.

Agree fully with you TB but there are a lot of people who would not want to see their dirty linen washed in public, the Shinners as much as anyone, despite them disagreeing with the legacy bill and all that.
