All these rumours of Finnan are absolute bollix, why would the best right back in the EPL want to move to villa and why would we want to sell him? Papers make any oul shite up these days >:(

gary neville aint leavin utd is he?  ;)

FFS Gary Neville wouldn't be the best player if the category was ugly fcukers called Gary Neville, nevermind in the EPL

who'd win then?

Would anyone be in favour of an open draw straight knockout championship?Provincial championships and NFL could still be played as secondary competitions but I think the magic has gone out of the championship this past few years..imagine kerry and the dubs playing in the first round of a championship where if you're beat, you're out. It's bound to be better than the current 'we'd like like to win but if we don't sure we'll still have another dig at it' competition ..there'd be no talk about poor attendances, teams gettin a handy run in the qualifiers etc

Imagine Kerry getting London or Wicklow or Waterford in the first round, can't see such a match getting  30,000 can you?

doesn't matter who london or wicklow or waterford play in the first round, there's not goin to be 30,000 there

There has been enough tinkering with the championship over the last 10 years, its a bloody hard competition to win as it is, and its a straight knockout when you get down to the 1/4 final stages at the moment which has made it harder to win over the last few years since its introduction.

exactly-and it hasn't made it any better IMHO

championship should mean a knockout competition- think the qualifier system has taken a bit of the buzz away from the championship

I agree - imagine trying to pick a team from Ardboe, Moortown, Brocagh, Derrytresk,Derrylaughan, Clonoe, Coalisland, Stewartstown ??

Imagine even trying to pick a team from Moortown and Ardboe ?? It wouldn't be easy and there be manys a row !!!!!!!!!!!!

agree it would be difficult but ardboe, derrylaughan, clonoe, coalisland and stewartstown would all be playing in the senior championship (going on current tables)

would give players from smaller clubs the chance to play in the o neill cup..would def be interesting picking the teams though!!!

just found out what way the kerry championship works-there are a number of divisional teams entered in the senior championship as well as the senior club teams.these divisional teams are made up of players from intermediate and junior clubs.could something like this work in tyrone?would be interesting..what would the divisions be?who would pick the teams?
#746
cheers kerry mike-always wondered how that worked.seems like a good idea-would there not be any problems between rival clubs all playing for a divisional side?would love to see something like that tried in tyrone
#747
what way does the kerry championship work?do club teams and divisional teams play in different competitions?
