Quote from: NAG1 on Today at 11:01:36 AMSay it quietly around the Reds on here, but if Klopp goes this season without winning the title will his tenure be deemed as an underachievement?

After all they have been the best team in the world since he took over  ;)

Granted they ran into a City team in their prime, but one Covid EPL title seems to be underwhelming.

Unpopular opinion I'm guessing.

1 league title
1 champions league
1 super cup
1 club world cup
2 league cups
1 fa cup

That's assuming we don't win the league this year, which admittedly is a big ask.
Compare that to the 9 years previous, or even the 9 years before that. He's done well.
Klopp will always be a legend. He gave us a ridiculous amount of moments that will never be forgotten. It is a shame that he came up against 115 charges FC in his tenure which made winning the league nigh on impossible and who knows, if they do throw the book at city in years to come, what he achieved may be more appreciated.

How many times did Liverpool come second in the league to City?

I as chatting to a retired district nurse the other day, retired a while ago, has been tortured to go back and help out, show the ropes get them up to speed for the role she retired from. Back doing 3 days a week

Another friend (shows my age) retired from the Lisburn city council, they haven't been able to fill her role and been asked to come back, consultant wise to help out and train others to do the job she done..

Either people being employed nowadays in the public sector are complete fuckwits or no one has a fecking clue to run a department

Worked years ago with complete charlatan, wormed his way into a job as the place needed a skill set that was missing, within weeks was made full time and in management, deployed his roles to others and went on to rob the place blind, that's a side issue though to my point lol

Point being some people work harder to do less work! If that makes sense!

One of Liverpool's greatest managers, end of story.

Without him, City would be heading for seven in a row. No one else has even run Pep close, never mind taken him to the final day. Plus, three CL final appearances, one won.

Underwhelming me arse.

Leicester not win one during pep's time?

Pep joined City year after.. Conte (Pep's 1st Season) and Klopp only managers to beat City to the title

Ah.. some record all the same, regardless of the dough

Quote from: Milltown Row2 on Today at 09:55:37 AMIt was the pump that heats the water that's fecked!

So at the the boiler there are two pumps one for the rads and the other for heating the water.

If the spindle isn't spinning then the motor isn't working and that was the case, I said can ya fix it? nope, its a throw away world, ya need a new one

The plumber said that the water should still warm up though, it isn't, anyways I've been doing the Wim Hof experience for the last 3 days!

Did the pump look like this?

I've three of these feckers in the house and one will need replaced.

There's isolating valves either side of it, so toying with the idea of doing it myself, but as they're in the hotpress and don't want to make a balls of it.

That's the one, I've two, but that they are in the garage...

Unscrewing that copper nut in the middle let me know that it wasn't spinning inside, after that I was stumped

I've a mate that loves all that DIY stuff, the easy stuff I've no problems with, But I know if I try and remove that and replace it there will be problems, pipes will need replaced and threads will be fecked and whatever else would go wrong will, with me.

Turn that pump on and go to the garage.
Give it a gentle tap with a hammer to see if that frees it up and if that doesn't work there's a wee red dial for the speed settings, it's normally set to the middle speed, but change it to the top speed and that might free it up as well.

It'll still need replace one way or the other, but at least you'll get some hot water for a day or two

Aye, will give that a go if the boyo hasn't changed it by the time I get home! Will have to put my prices up for refereeing  ;)

Klopp was a huge success and took a very under achieving Liverpool to a title and many cups.

His style and way he handled the press was refreshing and the PL will missing a huge character and be worse for it.

God help whoever comes in and replaces him, they'll be on to a hiding to nothing if history is to repeat itself and thats not using Fergie's example, bar Bayern its replicated in most big clubs when a huge personality leaves, though the likes of Madrid get rid fairly quick of managers that don't bring immediate success.

Pretty sure the pump doesn't heat the water  ;)
From my limited plumbing experience.

That's probably my bad on the explaining part. More so the pump that pumps the water to the cylinder in the hot press?

Either way the pump needs replaced lol

To be fair he was a bit confused on why it still wasn't heating the water.

Fingers crossed that it will be solved today, at some point maybe next week who knows with tradesmen

I started out after school as YTP with the housing executive when I left school doing plumbing, at that time all the executives houses were having central heating installed around Belfast, the lure of more money as an apprentice at a different trade elsewhere was too much (at the time) to refuse!

Must be serious money to be made as a decent tradesperson considering the lack of them about

The biggest problem I see with this is some players in the heat of the game will wave away any medical attention so that they can stay on the pitch, which in turn will lead to missed concussions or other injuries

The common sense approach would be for the team that has a player waiting to come on would be to knock the ball outta play as soon as possible so their player can come straight back on

Be some gurning soon especially come championship

If I have to stop play.

Though if a physio comes on and can administer a spray while play continues I'm happy with that, should I have to blow the whistle and the player requires assistance they have to go off, now seeing as it was my first real go at it, I waved the player on rather than waiting for a break, he was genuinely hurt from a tackle from the other team, its a bit unfair surely to disadvantage them twice?

But is that not wrong, going by them new rules?

Completely

Bitta common sense needs to be applied and while I'm not against following it to the letter, sometimes it's actually counterproductive and not serving the reason why it's introduced
