I notice from the fly through there are no 65m lines on the pitch. Gotta say it looks good though.

I have the Delongi Magnifica S for over a year and I love it. I took the outer bit off the steam wand and it works much better. It's easy to clean and there is plenty of adjustment of grind, temperature, strength etc if you can be bothered. I use the Supervalu own brand Italian roast beans at €2.89 a bag and it's as good as anything I've tasted anywhere. Maybe I don't have a very sophisticated palate ;D

Quote from: trailer on February 12, 2024, 12:30:53 PMWatched the highlights there. Did SF gift them the Superbowl. Yer man dropping that punt return? f**k me.
He didn't drop it though. He wasn't intending to catch the ball, but it hit the foot of one of his own players so he had to try grab it to prevent one of the Chiefs catching it and scoring a touchdown.
I have to say I really enjoyed the game even though I wanted San Francisco to win. As I watch more and more games, my appreciation of the defensive side increases (unlike Gaelic Football). Mahomes and Kelsey sparked into action when the chips were down and experience won out. SF should probably have stuck more to the running game.

I'm really looking forward to the Superbowl. Two great entertaining teams and the match-up of Mahomes against the young pretender should be epic. The comeback by the 49ers should stand them in good stead. Must remember to book the Monday off.

The final score flattered Cork. Laois were back to a point down and missed an equalising point with about 5mins to go. Picky missed a few frees that looked scoreable.

I just had a quick peek at the website and it seems to have had quite a major overhaul. Upcoming fixtures clearly laid out and covering everything from senior intercounty through ladies football to schools competitions. Quite a comprehensive results archive as well - going back to 2017.

There seems to be an awful lot of forward passes going unpunished.

Andrew would be a great person to have in the role.

Has anyone experience of satellite broadband. Currently looking at it but the data packages seem quite small. 150Gb max.

If the aim of the all Ireland finals and big games in general is to inspire kids (who else are they trying to attract?) to take up GAA, then the earlier dates make much more sense as there is lots of activity in clubs and most juvenile competitions are in full flow. Any kid wanting to start can still get a couple of months with their local club rather than September when a lot of clubs are winding down their season.

Laois / Re: The Future for Laois Football

Even though I have no interest in the club football season - and not much in the county football either tbh - I have happily signed up as I think the content is worth it. I have always had Laois Today as my go to source and I wouldn't begrudge €7 a month. Whether people will pay for it during the off season will be interesting.

I think one thing we should be wary about from history is definitively dismissing or backing any particular tech. Self driving vehicle would be highest on my wish list.

Jack has been a fantastic voice to listen to over the years. His love of Laois GAA shines through every commentary. He will be sorely missed and hopefully he will be back on air again. Wish him all the best for the future.

It's the ones who only press the button 6 times - the mad setting - who get me.
