It was rumoured that RTÉ wanted Brian Cowan singing ' My lovely horse ' while wearing a Liz Hurley style evening dress but apparently he wasn't available and they went for Dervish. Still, as we say in Mayo, there's always next year.

paddy power were offering betting in running on the semi final last night.

A friend of mine backed Belarus last night as 4/1 after hearing the performance. The results however were called out in random order and knowone knows who topped the vote. Surely Paddy Power must have known the format for the semi final, i wonder was it another one of their publicity stunts??? anyone know is the thursday night results announced after the final has taken place?
