So, a big game in the offing.  Dublin a two week rested team following their win over Galway.  Armagh coming in off a dose of the jitters late on against Derry with just a week's break.

Has the makings of a good contest with a decent crowd in attendance.  The bookies have it at evens, draw 7/1.  Joe McQuillan to ref it.

The winner will have one foot in the quarter final.

Any day someone representing Ireland win's their second gold at a World Championship is surely worthy of its own thread.  Co. Down man, Daniel Wiffen, unreal achievement ... hitting the form of his life in Olympic year as well ...

Based in the north, I'm currently on the Vodafone mobile network.  As I tend to make a lot of calls to southern numbers, I also pay them for Vodafone Ireland Plus ... this means I can use my northern bundle to call/text numbers in the south without incurring international rates.  From memory, it's approx £5 a month additional.

Are Vodafone the only provider in the north who has such a service, or is anyone aware of other providers offering similar all Ireland type tariffs?  Thanks.

Old rivalries renewed, great to see Armagh v Down happening again.  This year's Div 1 v Div 3 didn't matter to Down when it came to a very poor Donegal.  Armagh will be favourites, however, as Down supporters of a certain age would remind you, throw a red and black jersey on the field and Armagh are beaten ... thankfully that was put to bed once and for all in 1999.

Serious opportunity for both teams, but I don't see Armagh not navigating this one on Sunday.

And so it begins.  Armagh to return to the swashbuckling, attacking football of 2022, or keep faith with the new ultra defensive set-up that ultimately let them down in Div. 1.  An Ulster Final at least has to be Armagh's target, but in doing so could mean they're a spent force by the time the round robin comes along.  It's into the unknown this year with the new format, but looking forward to harder ground and some great games along the way, bring it on!

What do the US know that they ain't telling the greater global public .... my belief is that it is US technology being tested under the cover of the UFO story that has existed for the last 80+ years ... whatever it is, technology that can descend from 80,000 feet to sea level in 1 second, and then hover horizontally before descending into the water is something to be interested in irrespective of who owns it ...

First world problem and asking for a friend ...

How would one open an electric roller garage door from the outside when the only remote control for it has been lost?

Can't even find the supplier details as they're written on the box inside the garage.

Any advice that doesn't involve a crowbar would be appreciated.

I know Croke Park has a policy regarding bringing a bag into the stadium.  How strictly is it enforced and do you think there'd be any issues with bringing a Cúl Camp sized backpack into the stadium?

The young fella is attending Sunday's final with me, and we plan on having a bag to carry jackets (if they're not needed), a few snacks etc.  Thanks in advance.

Presently on holiday in Spain, using mobile as normal as at home due to new roaming caps since April 30th.  According to these new charges, cost for data can be no more that 0.05 per Mb more than your home package.  However, I'm still getting periodic texts from Vodafone saying that I've ran up another £5 roaming charge, now at a total of £30.  Not doing any excessive surfing, no videos, just usual stuff as I would at home.

Any ideas why Vodafone are still applying excessive roaming charges despite the newer rates?  Thanks in advance.

Anyone see a catch?

Apparently, and I got this as second hand information, just over 20,000 northern reg cars are presently being sought for not paying the eFlow toll on the M50.

Has anyone ever been contacted by them or a debt colletion agency?  Or is this scare mongering in an attempt to get northerners to pay up?

I am of course a fully paid up member.
