It's the best draw but that was a huge shift with a light panel I can't see us beating anyone next week!

Quote from: screenexile on June 22, 2024, 09:38:11 PMReally enjoyed that this evening and looking forward to Croker next week.

As I've said before we're not winning an All Ireland (yet) but days like this winning games and competing against the big teams have been few and far between for the 10 years before 2022.

I was very disappointed in how we played against Donegal and Armagh and I'm sure there are a million reasons for that but we've got to the QF and nobody will look forward to playing us.

Given our thin panel I imagine whoever plays us will be heavy favourites but it's just great to get another day out in Croker. Something is building and the minors today is more evidence of that!

Long may it continue!

PS. Hard luck to Mayo that game was a complete 50/50 and it's a horrible way to lose. I hope you're back stronger next year! Your fans are the best in the GAA as far as I can see.

Also 👋 Tyrone will see you sometime again I'm sure 😂😂

We're all rowing in behind you now.

For Mickey!!

You can imagine a county with a large panel running the sh*te out of ya in the first half with fresher legs and then running the subs bench in the second half with even fresher legs.

That's some stat.

The original back door came in in what, 2001? Not quite the stat you might think it to be.

We'd have been out of the Championship in June whether we won or lost this evening anyway.

We'd have been out of the Championship in June anyway even if we won today!

Making too much of turn around. Cavan won an Ulster in 2020 playing 4 games in 4 weeks in winter. If Derry win next weekend they'll be talking about match fitness and momentum.

Did ye play a rested team along the way?

Did any game go to Extra time?

How did ye fair out against Dublin?

Yes as we played in the preliminary round 1st. Now away and Boo at the ref.

All the Derry wans raging about the set up for the past month.  Are they stuffed or plucked tonight?

those problems aren't gone anywhere. they pulled it out of the bag today as a matter of pride, but they will be beaten comprehensively next weekend. mayo were never going to be the team to put them away.

Mayo were hot favourites this evening against Derry and a harder draw than Monaghan....Roscommon...and Louth...

Great stuff...

I was saying earlier to an oul fella, that's 2 years in a row I've been cheering Derry on.

Never thought that day would happen. Now, twice.

Are our Armagh friends raging...maybe they were watching the soccer? We love the draws!
