OK, now I've got your attention- was just wondering whats people's take on Lough Derg-has anyone did the 3 day vigil?

I did it for the second time last summer and hope to go back in thanksgiving this year.

I'm not a holy-roller but I do have faith and as George Michael said - you gotta have faith

I'll pass on this thread given the way the last one on lough derg panned out.

What are you giving thanks for?
When my country takes her place among the nations of the earth...then may my epitaph be written

well i too have went to lough derg..... have only done it once and the only reason i did it was because i was out one night having a few sociables and the buddies said they'd never expect me too/could do it/wouldn't do it etc... so out of stubbornness i said i would.... man when we headed towards it was i regretting it! (blamed magners).....

man was it tough.....and the knees were cut of me, however i was so surprised at how i felt on the 3rd day.... it was a really good feeling...

i was starting to doubt it there as my petitions hadn't happen however recently two have came true and i will be going back ....

i am not that religious but imo there is something more to the pilgrim ... its physiological and satisfying.... plus it was great craic too meeting ones from all over!

i was very surprised at the amount of young fella's doing it a lot more than girls ....
I'm trying to decide on a really meaningful message..

I've never been, but would love to sometime. Don't think I have the conviction for a three-day visit, so a one day visit would be all I could muster.

Lough Derg - great hurdler, lacked class at the very highest level but ran all day and provided many good days for his supporters. Very well campaigned this season but sadly disappointing at Cheltenham.
As I dream about movies they won't make of me when I'm dead

I've an invisible  super being in my press you can worship and only half the price of the Lough
Anyway, long story short... is a phrase whose origins are complicated and rambling.

Perhaps the church should put signs outside on a Sunday morning with "naked" written on them to boost numbers.

Why do you feel the need to constantly mock peoples beliefs? And dont start bout this being a discussion board, opinions etc. etc.

Just sharing my belief that my press contains a invisible super being , don't mock me!

Have to say I did laugh out loud at that one. If there is an invisible super being in your press where do you put your Y fronts?
