Going on last year.  Omagh were keen to avoid extra league fixtures and quickly dropped away in the league.  Results in the last 4/5 games would show that.  From speaking to people involved with Clonoe (who seriously reduced training well after championship exit).  Perhaps this was to cut club expenses but there wasn't an interest in winning a league.  Speaking to some Errigal people although they finished inside the top 4 they weren't overly delighted

If a club wishes to concentrate solely on championship then that's their call. No need to change things for everyone to make a few clubs pay more attention to the league or keep boys interested over the Summer. Championship is important surely, but it's not everything. Having a regular schedule of club games throughout the Summer would be more of a benefit to Tyrone football.

Omagh didn't bother with the league cause they had won championship and  had eye on ulster

Clonoe after being beat in championship on 10 aug,then beat the island and hammered the moy next. They only stopped playin for top 4 when it was beyond there reach.  Moortown shocked them and Donghamore to, {when a team is in a relegation battle that is when there are hardest to beat.}

Errigal beat end of May in championship then make top 4 without trying. Them errigal lads r pulling ure leg.

LOL Moortown and Donaghmore shocked Clonoe... They wouldnt shock them in a championship game in the same fashion.  Clonoe would never gift Coalisland any points.  Maybe thats part of the answer to keep the big derby games to the end of the year.    Everyone was hammering the Moy at that stage of the season.  Omagh did ditch their league campaign to focus on Ulster but still went out of their way to avoid top 4 position.

It happens.  Not all clubs respect the league for the full duration and to say differently you have your head in the clouds.  Donaghmore come good towards the end of most seasons and its nothing to do with the water their drinking.

A good chunk of the Errigal team left for America after the Championship exit...

Knock Yer Mucker In

No point in talking to people who made their minds up, regardless that they no nothing a bout what teams decided to do. Clonoe did not attempt to make the top four, because who wanted to train until November for a league. The posters have yet to make a reason that suits their arguement as to why Omagh didn't do top four

KYMI Im in total agreement with you.  Clonoe didnt value the league and didnt see the need on their championship exit to push on and win the league despite them being very capable.  Where as Killyclogher will see a league title as an unbelievable year and an outstanding achivement (which it was).  I find it hard to understnad this mentality.  At the start of 2015 clubs have 2 competitions. County League and County Championship.  To totally dismiss the league as unimportant is madness.  Im a strong believer that winning is a habbit should that be league or championship and im sure Killyclogher are hoping to push on after 2014.

Omagh didn't qualify for top four because they got 0 points from 6 in the starred games making it too difficult to finish top 4

Onthe40

they got 0 points from 8 if i recall, but sure when the co board tries to shaft you by sending you away to Clonoe, Errigal, Killyclogher & Dromore at the most competitive time of the season with half your team missing..says it all

Feel sorry for you omagh folk, everyones always against you  ;)
