GAA Discussion / Re: Sigerson

Any ex footballer will you tell you how important sigerson is to a developing young player both in terms of ability and social development. Nobody should be deprived of that. Allianz league is for trying things out, nobody remembers Allianz league when all Ireland qf time rolls around.

Lots of talk about sigerson, but these lads don't need to be playing Allianz league every week while sigerson is on imo

Four red cards for MTU, the Kerry players don't play any different for college than they do for county

I'm not sure I've seen many worse refereeing performances than this ever. Inexplicable free against the keeper and then he had barely gotten the ball on tee and thrown up for time wasting

It's a good thing that MTU scored that free the ref engineered for them at the end of the first of ET or he would've had to play another ten minutes added time. Kerry boys being Kerry boys starting a scrap at the end too.

Ref played for a draw there. Although Tierney should have been doing better with that Galway free

Probably should've done better alright, I thought he'd put it dead one way or another, but he surely thought it was the last kick of the game, like any other sane person watching it

Anyone watching the NUIG match? Shocking ref. I don't think I've ever seen a ref so blatantly just keep playing until one team equalised, must've been 6 minutes played without any notable stoppages during the match. And not to mind the frees, at least three frees given in extra time for a player who just put the head down, overcarried, barged into a player, and fell over.

Should the disallowed goal have stood? Lane didn't call foul and umpires aren't allowed make such decisions??

Surely, one of the worst calls I've seen in a long time.

Some good scores by Kerry but Dublin being rode by the officials. The lineball decision that led to the goal another example of an easy decision gone the wrong way
Ball was last touched by dublin no 4

It just wasn't though

Another year, same Kerry. Dublin won a ball in midfield, turned and had a two on one in inside. Certain goal only for the worst hand pass of all time. I've said it the past few years and will again this year, I don't know who is winning the all Ireland but it won't be Kerry.

I'm not usually one to say that Dublin are getting done by a ref, but fuckin hell the ref has been atrocious

Today is the day. Perhaps it's my bias, as the designated Robbie Hennelly defender for the last decade. But I really feel like today is the final leg in the Robbie Hennelly redemption arc. Niall Morgan to pull at least one clanger of Hennelly 2016 proportions, Hennelly to put in a heroic display. Mayo lift the cup.

For the sake of god and all things that are holy, I hope I'm right.
