I think Donegal have a big advantage over Tyrone in terms of recovery. Tyrone have a days rest less and extra time in the legs, they will get little or nothing done this week apart from recover work. In any case I think they look to be a team in transition with an awful lot of young players thrown in. I think Donegal could end up winning this match comfortably and set up a repeat of the division 2 national league final. 

Agreed. The turnaround time is ridiculous. Was a time supporters could enjoy the win for a week and another week to look forward to the next round. Is a big ask of Tyrone after such a gruelling game players coming off with knocks and hardly time to sort the injuries, then prepare for next Sunday. Donegal had a handy aul run-out, tho well done to them. 

It's very much ridiculous. It doesn't allow anyone time for a breath. The games are coming so thick and fast that there's no time for a build up. And supporters become fatigued too and so on. It's just way too compressed

I'd be an advocate of playing a period of extra time and then if it is a draw, restart on a golden score. I realise that this would bring issues in terms of "soft" frees and the players are completely wrecked... but I really hate penalties

You would think we are bringing something completely foreign in to finish a game.

Penalties is a skill of the game so why not use this skill to decide a winner?

Other alternative would be shooting from say 30 yards out but again that is down to carrying out a skill of the game.

Its a massive massive ask for any of them lads to make it.
Practice squads maybe and take it from there but to be picked to play on a team is going to be next to impossible to achieve at the moment.

The Beggan kicking may seem impressive but there will be any number of players who achieved the same and dont have one of the 32 spots.

Fingers crossed they make some sort of progression and have a shot in the coming years.

As someone said, NFL is brutal with kickers in that you could be released a Monday morning and a replacement brought in immediately - I actually think they could have a shot of being called into a team if they are struggling during the season with kickers
