One of the so-called moderate voices within unionism but he's def losing his marbles  :o

Not sure he is. Storm in a teacup and it's hardly thee biggest issue in the world but it was clearly done deliberately.

The nets are in the club colours, which are green, white and yellow....what's the problem?

Your man is going out of his way to be offended. They are the club colours and not the tricolour. They are similar but yellow is not orange!!

The saying 'offended by everything....ashamed of nothing' comes to mind.

QuoteDAYTONA BEACH, Fla. —
A 95-year-old grandmother in Florida was arrested Saturday after police said she slapped her granddaughter in face with her slipper before calling 911 to get her out of the house.

According to the Daytona Beach News-Journal, Hattie Reynolds told police her granddaughter, Janeen Williams, 46, would not get out of bed, and that she was "tired of her staying in bed all day soaking up the air conditioning."

When officers arrived at the home, Williams told police she did not want to press charges, but because of "strict domestic violence laws" Reynolds was arrested.

According to a Florida statute, police officers have the ability to determine if an arrest is needed in a domestic violence instance once probable cause is established.

"If your wife reported that you threatened to hit her, you would be arrested because that is a domestic violence assault," police Chief Craig Capri told the News-Journal. "I just feel bad for her but the officers did their job as required by the law."

Reynolds was booked in the Volusia County Jail and released the next day on her own recognizance.

An ESB employee who slipped and fell on stairs as he was collecting post has been awarded €110,000 by the High Court.

The court found Terence Morgan, who had worked with the ESB for about 38 years, did not get specific training in the task of collecting post which he had performed over a number of years.

Ye see though this is annoying. He edidnt slip because he didn't have training to carry post. He slipped because the stairs were wet and he rumpled down them. The issue about carrying post is a basic manual handling issue and as he was carrying too much post he did not have a ha d to balance himself. Shock independent making a headline more dramatic than the story!!!

Must have broke his neck for that pay out? And after 38 years working, he's probably only getting his wages back for loss of earnings..

Hopefully everyone got their letters though

I would say his 4 months off were covered by full pay so what exactly is he claiming for?

It's not though. The claim was that he slipped on wet stairs as a result of the way he was handling the post. The issue of handling the post was not some irrelevant anecdote to "man slips on wet stairs".

QuoteIt was the court's view that a problem with the nosing on the steps, combined with the fact they were wet, caused Mr Morgan to slip and fall very heavily.

They also said that he didn't contribute to the negligence because he was carrying post in both hands.

With all the chat about the rugby rape trial and treatment of women. Liberty nightclub in Buncrana thought it was wise to advertise it's nightclub with a picture of a woman's arse and a 19th hole caption. Should do 5 years hard time for stupidity.
