Most enjoyable game esp when you didn't care who won.
I cared, I got behind Bigtown,  were they not denied a penalty for that ball handled on the ground inside the square?  The ref was so far away he would have needed a telescope to see the incident.
That was a ballsy county final, the real stuff.

Yeah I thought I remember some exchange of messages  about something which concluded with give them air but don't let the. Out.

As someone said on the other thread this still goes on and I wish the authorities would clamp down on it so that these wankers making big bucks where caught at it. Has there been anyone caught since this happened?
Yes he was to give them air but not let them out.
You guys have not watched the documentary carefully, if at all. The question put in this thread was why was Robinson  freaked out (to some extent) when driving out with the container lorry from the dock. That incident was captured clearly by CCtv, in his cab he became somewhat animated in the exchanges which took place between him and the person in charge of the barrier and this was noted by the detective in charge.
Why complicate the interpretation of that incident that took place with irrelevant opinions? The question was, why was he freaked out  and it follows, why was  that incident relevant to the investigation?

The sms message about letting in air came 10 - 15 mins later after the barrier was lifted when he drove away from the dock.

Anyone see the bbc documentary the other night they where well caught..

Thankfully they retrieved the Nokia prepay phone which was the key to it all. The way they traced it from there was well done.

What a sc**bag move open a trailer full of dead bodies and then drive round calling other scumbags to see what to do. I know it wasn't a probable outcome but would it not have been an idea to get them help in case any where saleable at that stage.

One of the points I don't think it explained and I don't think it explained on show. What had spooked mo on way out of port?
I'd say probably he was asked some question about the contents of the container at the barrier to the exit and had the momentary fear that it could be inspected. The detective used that close circuit image as evidence that Robinson knew he was carrying people and from that point the course of the questioning changed.

in the world according to the Unionists, only they are allowed to threaten and blackmail but when Nationalists are perceived to be doing the same, they are said to be mongrels practicing the dark arts.
What happens if there is an election where Sinn Fein  come out first and the UUP come in second, can the DUP in 4th place still scuttle the new Assembly?

Could be late to the party but started Squid Game.

Halfway through it - weird but addictive at the same time

Thought the same myself.
Aye it was surprisingly good.

I'm 3 episodes in but the addiction hasn't kicked in yet. Maybe if they were all secondary school teachers my glee factor would surge.

Its a bit like Takeshi Castle, only there are crocs and sharks in the water. or instead of a boxing glove punching you in the face its a spear in the eye!

Would watch a lot of the Asian stuff, Alice in Borderland is slightly better I thought.
I will admit though, the tug of war was a cliffhanger in Ep 4.

There's his actual speech, I read it (a 10-15 min read) after reading the initial Twitter over reaction.  There's nothing in it that should or would frighten the EU, it will ultimately work out well for us in the North.

https://www.gov.uk/government/speeches/lord-frost-speech-observations-on-the-present-state-of-the-nation-12-october-2021
That's a truly idiotic speech from Frost the reformed pro-EU fanatic.
They made the deal with the EU after 5 years poncing about in a fog of contradictions, won the election hands down on their brexit chariot of fire proclaiming it to be the deal of the century. Once the election dust had settled, the shŪt hitting the fan reality rared up. Now you have Frost in this speech blaming the EU for this bad deal, blaming the EU for actually implementing the articles of the deal. He says the British  gov want to tear up the protocol and offer a new protocol which hasn't been mapped out yet, and if the mystery alternative protocol isn't accepted in full the dreaded article 16 will be pulled from the hat.
I don't think anyone can say nothing of concern here, the British government is infested with morons and playing tag with the brain dead DUP.

General discussion / Re: Android Boxes

Can anyone recommend a decent box equivalent to the 4K fire stick in terms of specs and price. Wanting the box over the firestick so I can wire it with an Ethernet cable instead of using WiFi to run IPTV.

Formuler z+ neo is a good entry level. There are then other Formulers more powerful such as the Z10. But the Neo is easily equivalent to the firestick if not better.
Thanks itchy Iíll have a look

Just comparing the two there, fire stick has more RAM and storage than the box. Is there something Iím missing that favours the box for by the Ethernet port?

Formuler boxes have mytvonline built in which is a fantastic app for tv channels you can also use a memory stick and record tv shows etc . Depending on the formuler box you buy the remote is also excellent and set up for use as a tv remote  well worth the money and the software updates and online forum support is top notch
Since the much beloved Mag box expired, Formuler's Mytvonline is the outstanding IPTV app. I got an open box Z8 on amazon in Jan 2021 for £85,  though it has to be said  the price of the Firestick is attractive.

The first goal was a savage strike. Well done to him. I agree with Hamann in not to get overly carried away however after one positive result.

Didi always talks sense, lets beat qatar and lux then hopefully big sam won't have to come to the rescue

or worse, neil lennon  :'(
i hadn't ever thought of Lennon in connection with the FAI senior team, it's possible he might be up to it but that's not a question of the day is it, so why mention it?  Like many other Irish fans fed up with dross I want the current Kenny project to  succeed and am patient.

Thought getting and recovering from covid was a natural vaccine? And way better than any manufactured prevention? Thought that professional footballers were tested regularly whether they are vaccinated or not?

The witch-hunt on Callum yesterday by RTE was a disgrace.

I thought we stood behind our people?

You can get into restaurants/pubs in the south if you prove that is the case. So in effect, yes, itís considered a natural vaccine
The vaccine taliban haven't a baldy notion about immunity.
A person who has done covid and fully recovered  can apply for the EU digital covid cert, that certificate is ranked equal to the fully vaccinated, eg when arriving at Dublin airport. Callum is fully compliant with all health regulations re covid. His status is equal to the fully vacccinated.

The biggest issue though is the inbred repugnance of any thing remotely Irish in the loyalist fringes. You only have to watch Paddy Kielty's documentary on NI100 to see that its being handed on. This stops them embracing any type of cross border co-operation even if it benefits NI. How do you address that and avoid escalating violence?
Loyalists are perhaps the most politically unintelligible group of people in Europe. Certainly in the UK. These are people who donít care about real issues. Everything is secondary to their culture and the constitutional status of NI.
Even so, the level of ignorance and repugnance did come as a shock (to an innocent southern northerner) when landing into a NI Centenary web page such as this

I have a Huawei P20 Pro and internet connection continunally drop outs - either it goes completely and I'm on 4g or says it's conencted, but with no internet service.

Aanyone else get same issue + have a fix that works?

You mean when you are at home say and it doesnt connect to your wifi?  I used to have that phone and a vaguely remember that in certain parts of the house it would think the signal is too weak and try to revert to 4g.  I think at that point if you check wifi settings you can select to stay on the weak signal, as it would work fine.

Yes I have exact same problem. Not connecting properly to wifi both at work and at home. Been like that as few days. Wifi works grand on other devices. I have Huawei P20 Pro also. Did you get it resolved?
Have you done a search, for example
'why does my Huawei phone keep losing Wi-Fi connection?'

Then you can follow established lines of inquiry and probable solutions

Unfortunately I have tried all the solutions offered online and nothing works.

Was just hoping I'd missed something that I hadn't tried which had maybe worked for a poster here.
Have you already tried all the suggestions listed here?

Same hoors will be dragged back when Sinead turns 70.......even if RTE have to exhume a few.
Like her or not, at least Sinťad, one among many Irish traditional singers, is/was a talent. Geldof has zilch to offer as a legacy.
Wild horses wouldn't have dragged me to one of their gigs. He was always 2nd division, then got demoted ignominiously to the Leinster League.
He's been recognised already for the Live Aid thing, that was 35 years ago.

Don't despair just yet, Johnny Fean must be touching 70 ;D
I love Sinead but in truth, most people could name no more than two songs of hers, and one of those was written by Prince.
Most people like you Sid probably, but in truth she's in the elite when it comes to renditions of traditional Irish songs.

Oh and don't do the American dubbed audio. Best in original language.
If you liked that then Alice in Borderland is right up your street
Crab street?
