Funny I was looking through a newspaper from 1980 earlier. It looks like Mountfield were fielding but not Windmill.

Also, and I'd need to check again, was there a youth team called St Albans?
Windmill were playing in the late 80s

Thought that too.

I assume they were suspended that year.
😊

Windmill were definitely around in the late 80's. Their minor team played in the U16 competitions one year and nearly won it 😉 think they are located on the coagh road out of Moortown but not 100% sure. Maybe closer to Ballinderry. If I am correct their best player was Scotchy Hagan who later transferred to Moortown and won U21 All Ireland with Tyrone and played senior for Tyrone also.

Talking of amalgamations - I think we will see a lot more of them in the near future - lot of rural clubs struggling for numbers again. A great pity if it happens but clubs will do it in order to survive

On the subject of amalgamations areGael Naomh Padraig an Augher, Eskra, Clogher combination?
Who then are the similarly are Naomh Padraig?
Was there once an Eglish, Aghaloo, Kileeshil combination called Shamrocks, perhaps early 90s or late 80s.

Eskra aren't part of that amalgamation.

Thanks, must be why they don't enter as St Macartans.
Are Eskra just not fielding at u16 and u18?

Eskra are apart of that amalgamation.

ANON2018

Eskra are not part of it but they do have some players at U16 level that play for them as Eskra do not field at that age group currently. They also have some players that play for Beragh at U18 level

Yeah unfortunately not fielding at U16 and U18 levels but the numbers below those age groups seem good and the work being done there will hopefully pay off in the long run.

Some say killyclogher and omagh are still half cut from there 1st round championships win, big rip back then, but where are they come sunday?
What have they to celebrate? Avoiding relegation? Very poor game tonight, almost embarrassed to be a Tyrone gael on a night like that.

Can I inquire what this is in relation to?

Are you thick fellow gael. Remeber your pace or ill put you in it. Nobody asked you to go to whatever game you went to. Count yourself lucky i dont know your identity; look over your shoulder from now on.

Lol.  Listen to this idiot.  Were you on the Special Brew? ;D

Careful, it's a trap. If you walk round looking over your shoulder he will work out your identity.

Could be on about the reserve league game between the two on Friday night?

kickitin

were Omagh and killyclogher supposed to just not play the game last night? fair play to both fielding a team whenever 75% of teams arent fielding any reserve teams at the end of the season, Omagh preparing for a county final so competitive games would be of upmost importance coe them. Killyclogher having the Ulster minor tournament to prepare for also which was shown in their youthful team last night. Some clueless people on this board with always negative stuff to say

So, tomorrow pitches the undisputed kings of Tyrone football with their double Ulster titles against Mattie's Trillick. Hopefully a high-scoring affair like the Omagh game.

the lough prompted to division 1. Handing galbally their first loss of the year. Lough 12 points down and came back to win by 1. Galbally with a full team out bar 1. Can see them both staying in division 1 with 2 very young teams.
