Quote from: Aerlik on May 16, 2010, 04:31:27 PMThese are political and financial decisions. Common sense rarely enters the equation.
If they thought S.Africa has the potential to be a nightmare for fans, they haven't really considered Russia too well. That country is as corrupt as fcuk and transport is a dog's dinner.
Quote from: J70 on May 15, 2010, 06:45:38 PMCalling it a song is doing it some justice. It's a national disgraceQuote from: longrunsthefox on May 15, 2010, 06:24:47 PMQuote from: J70 on May 15, 2010, 06:10:03 PM
Aerlik is right. That "Ole ole" shite is awful.
I know but in context of that occasion in the Giants Stadium it was mighty. Did you not think so? or as the Vietnem vet said, "You don't know what it was like because you weren't there man... you weren't there!"
I wasn't there.
It is still a shit, embarrassing song.
Quote from: ONeill on May 14, 2010, 04:25:39 PMMine is due soon. What insurance group is your wagon?
Got £333 for the year yesterday through Hughes.
Quote from: Main Street on May 14, 2010, 12:13:52 PMYes. There was a documentary about them earlier in the year - Oli City Confidential I think it was called.Quote from: Take Your Points on May 14, 2010, 12:03:40 AMQuote from: Tony Baloney on May 13, 2010, 10:54:59 PM
Wilko Johnson is a legend.
+1
Is that the Wilko who use to play with Dr. Feelgood?
Quote from: thejuice on May 14, 2010, 10:12:04 AMJuice if you have watched it you will know that it is not a "rockumentary". It's a tongue in cheek look at the makeup of a "rock 'n' roll band". It is what it is.
I think that program is awful, It should be called, "I'm a Rock and Roll cliche". These talking head shows are starting to do my f**king head in. With the exception of Tony Iommi who is actually interesting to listen to.
I'm so bloody tired of the attitude of the media and press and their standard of reporting. Reporters for the Irish Independent I don't think are able to write a rock gig report without writing the phrase "turned up to 11". This sort of arrogant, lazy and ignorant attitude of the press I thought had died out decades ago but it hasn't.
Quote from: Take Your Points on May 14, 2010, 12:03:40 AMYou ever see him? He looks demented in the footage they showed of him in this show. The rockers back in the day didn't do half measures when it came to indulging themselves!Quote from: Tony Baloney on May 13, 2010, 10:54:59 PM

Is BudWiser not the CCTV/alarms man?
Err...No.
Okay, well there's someone acts as a distributor for an Asian security electonics outfit.
Is this going to tender? - might throw a quote at it myself.
Quote from: red hander on May 13, 2010, 05:07:28 PMWill be handy fixed if Dunga ever takes over as manager of the Irish national team.Quote from: Gaoth Dobhair Abu on May 13, 2010, 02:21:45 PM
He's just let me know that he got one 9 x 6.
I could have lent him a 9 x 6 one with DUNGANNON written across it in big black letters
Quote from: pintsofguinness on May 12, 2010, 07:22:47 PMYou can only judge him on his time in office. He's not going to be the most popular PM as he's inheriting an economic shitstorm from Labour.Quote from: Tony Baloney on May 12, 2010, 07:17:09 PMWell we'll see go it turns out but so far I haven't seen or heard anything from him to suggest there's any substance there.Quote from: pintsofguinness on May 12, 2010, 06:58:56 PMSo Cameron has no substance, based on his 20 odd hours in office. Good man pints.Quote from: Tony Baloney on May 12, 2010, 06:53:29 PMBeloved?Quote from: pintsofguinness on May 12, 2010, 06:20:12 PMTotal opposite of ex Labour PM Blair then...As for insincerity, maybe you missed your beloved Brown giving that weirdo smile for the cameras before slating Gillian Duffy as soon as he thought the press pack had gone.Quote from: Joxer on May 12, 2010, 02:49:03 PMCouldnt agree more.
just watching the press conference here. Two smug f**krs.
Clegg started to get on my nerves in the first debate and at this stage I'd turn over to another station if his smug face comes up on the screen.I just can't put my finger on it but he's a condescending insincere p***k.
I didnt really like blair, another smug git but unlike these two there was at least some substance to him.
As for Brown and Gillian Duffy, he didnt do anything the rest of us havent done.
