[Galway's first half horror show]

Good to see the Rossies beat Armagh and make the super 8's. A loss here isn't the end of the world for either team as there's a decent chance that Roscommon, Tyrone & Donegal will win one game each given the way the fixtures gave worked out.

I'd like to think Roscommon's forwards have learnt from the Galway game but then again Tyrone will have learnt from Galway's first half horror show. I expect Tyrone to win but it won't be a shock if they don't. I just don't know where this Tyrone team are at.

Let's be honest the only horror show in that game was Roscommon shooting or should i say shot selection in the 2nd half. Was nothing horror about Galway's 1st half, Roscommon just played the better football in that half and deserved their lead. 

Put yourself in Galway or Donegal's shoes.

Both are expected to lose first time out against Kerry and Dublin respectively.

Galway would then be facing into the bear pit of Newbridge while Donegal then have a losable game in Roscommon.

For me Galway are on a really sticky wicket as regards the fixture schedule.

I think Kildare could take Monaghan next week and if they do, they could put Galway out in Newbridge.

Tyrone's schedule is a good one with a view to them contending for an All-Ireland final place.

They'll beat Roscommon and then have what is effectively a free shot at Dublin in Omagh.

If they come through the group, I feel that free shot at Dublin will benefit them hugely in a semi-final and/or final.

Putting myself in Galway shoes i would have 4 week break while the time round 2 comes around Kildare will be playing in their 5th game in 5 weeks and a fresher Galway should be prevailing there. They then have Monaghan at home to reach the semi final. You can see why the bookies have Galway favourties to finish in the top two in this group.

Tyrone will probably need to win two games i can't see them beating Dublin and Ballybofey is one of the toughest places to pick up a victory

Roll on next week. All 8 teams arrive having put up a very good performance. The first week will be great and the second week will be even better, with all four provincial champions playing away from home. Let's hope there's plenty to play for come the third round.

30 i hear. A lot of money for supporters of the last 8 teams to fork out over the next 4 weeks especially if they have young familes and are traveling long distances.

Well done to Connacht's Galway Leinster champions in a game played in Munster.

5 point win for Monaghan. Kildare in their current form will fancy their chances to win next Sunday.

Just a 4 point game now. Just 0-4 for Monaghan in this 2nd half so far.

Brody having some game by the sounds of it alright. Why isn't this game live on RTE or Sky? a bit daft all other 3 round 4 games was on TV and one game wasn't.

Cregg getting a bit carried away there by saying it's a massive achievement getting to super 8s. Jaysis, you only beat Leitrim and scrapped by Armagh! In contrast, we've played Monaghan, Meath, Carlow, Cavan and Cork. One division one team, three division 2 teams and Carlow who moved up to division three. Some craic that is.

Think the big win today for our lads will do us the power of good and they'll be well up for this game.

Any reason why you mentioned the one Div one team (Monaghan) in the list of teams Tyrone have played while didn't mention that Roscommon played Div one Galway?

Congrats to Roscommon deserving winners and if they weren't so wasteful on the many other goal chances created they could have won by 10+ points. Can't see them with such a loose defence winning any of their last 8 games but for them it's about getting there a testing themselves against top 8 teams so job done there.

Either team to qualify in extra time 11/2 or Sweden to win on penalties 8/1 is very tempting odds

Apart from boring old England its a mostly enjoyable World cup so far.
