Didn't deserve anything out of that.

Repeat of Burnley and WBA. Pack the box with big men, put your midfielders on the edge, and watch Liverpool slowly go back and forth around the D, ending up hitting hopeful, nothing passes onto the heads of the centre backs or in to the keeper. Then hope to snatch a goal at the other end.

Only thing the City game matters for now is getting top 4.

Because there are going to be plenty more teams coming to Anfield to do the same.
Brighton executed that game plan perfectly, and up against a patched up defense there is always a good chance something will drop for them at the other end. (saying that I thought Henderson was Liverpools best player)
The crazy thing is, if Salah takes that chance at the start , Liverpool probably win that game 3-0.
A combination of a core group of players constantly flat out for around 3 years now along with an incredible run of injures has really taken its toll. Hard to know what the solution is though
It's pretty obvious the last 2-3 years of exceptional football is catching up on them. Champions League Finals, massive points totals in the league and of course wining the league. To expect them to keep doing it with practically the same group of players is unreasonable.
Throw in what seems like a different long term injury every week to a different player then it really has been an uphill battle this season.
I think if they can scrape a Top 4 finish, refresh the squad with a few players in the summer, get VVD back, then there is no reason IMO why they won't be back competing at the top again next season.
There is still the Champions League this season also so hopefully a good run in that also but that will be difficult. Top 4 is essential though. As bad as we have been we are still only 4 points off 2nd which is crazy considering the injury list at the club.

Yip,
They've lost their zip as you can't keep playing that high press game for 3 seasons, 50 plus games a season with more or less the same core of players and not to get jaded at some point.

Jota hit the ground running in September and that helped Liverpool no end as he was semi fresh, mentally as much as anything.

The supporting cast other than the wee lad Jones offer Liverpool nothing.

Imagine the abuse Adrian would get if he just done what Becker has done.
f**king ridiculous.

At least Alisson has a proven track record.

Anyone can have a shit day at the office.

It's not the first time he's been caught out doing that though.

He's a ball-playing keeper. It will go wrong now and again.

For whatever reason, he lost his composure and did it a second time.

Even if he is bit short of his best, he is far from the reason for Liverpool's current struggles.

When did his errors last turn a drawn game into to a heavy defeat?

Can someone tell me why firmino gets 90 minutes always. He's been a passenger all year. Think taking of Jones and Thiago was a mistake.

Wrong. Liverpool have won consecutive league titles before. The term "one-in-a-row" doesn't even make sense either.
