Anthony Daly was the on-field leader of the greatest Clare hurling team of all time, captaining the bannermen to two All-Irealnd and three Munster Championships. Personable, popular and at times controversial the Clarecastle clubman spent more than a decade in the saffron and blue, and would later return as manager to many of his former team-mates. Now a publican in West Clare he continues to be involved in sport, coaching hurling and football teams and rearing greyhounds.
