If Jamie doesn't care why should anyone else?

What does this say about the Armagh set up??

http://www.gaeliclife.com/2012/11/15/armagh-may-lose-clarke/

ARMAGH look set to be without the services of Jamie Clarke for 2013 as he intends to go travelling. However, he will not depart until Crossmaglen's season is completed.

Orchard manager Paul Grimley is facing the prospect of National League and Ulster Championship campaigns without his key forward, who was an All-Star nominee this year.

Gaelic Life understands that Clarke is giving serious consideration to embarking on an extended holiday, but not before March 17, a date the south Armagh champions will be hoping will mark a treble All-Ireland success.

That leaves slightly less than four months for Armagh boss Grimley to convince Clarke to change his mind and play his part in the Orchard county's summer championship plans.

Wow - first man from an inter county setup EVER ever to decide to go travelling.

Is that title not a little harsh on a lad who plays an amateur sport and maybe wants to have a life outside football?

It says like in any other county that young lads want to travel. Good luck to him.

trileacman

Good luck to him, spends all year pretty much tied to some sort of training regime so it would be good to see the lad get away and see the world like many of us do at some point or another.

What did his trip away to the States this summer say about the Crossmaglen set up which is recognised as the best club set up in Ireland? Nothing.
If the lad wants to travel then good luck to him.  A huge loss to Armagh but I wouldn't say it reflects on the Armagh set up at all.
Keep your pecker hard and your powder dry and the world will turn.

Its an amateur sport, if he wants to travel then good luck to him. Hes young, why tie yourself to a country in deep recession for what in all honestly will be for 3-4 games max Armaghs involvement in next years championship, that said he will be a huge loss to the county, our only real top class forward. The championship will be the poorer if hes not there, as the lad is a genius. I for one travel to Armagh/Cross matches just to watch him play...

Must be something to do with the name Clarke, hard to keep them at home.

I can only please one person per day. Today is not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look good either

Ah Jesus. Who's going to go watch Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band when Bruce decides to feck off?

At least Armagh won't be able to rely on Clarke and that may force other players to take some responsibility but it says some very bad things about Grimley's prospects for improving the team's fortunes if he can't even convince his star player to stick around for the first year of his reign.
